The service here was good, the lady that served us was very knowledgeable about the food and helped us first timers finalize our order. Tried the fried pickles and….will never order them again. After trying 4 or 5 chips could not bring myself to eat anymore, they were ‘almost’ crispy on the outside but the inside was a slurry of pickle gel. Very disappointing because I like fried pickles. The wings were fried then tossed in a mild sauce. They were ok but I had to work way to hard to get them off the bone. They were server extremely hot and with ranch dressing helped the lack of flavorni was expecting from the look of the wings. The waffle fries were thick and seasoned well. Pricing for the basket wings and fries was reasonable just not there from a quality tasting meal for me. The fish and chips was ok. Where the fishes lacked seasoning to stand on its own the crispness and tartar sauce provided good cover.

The service at Al’s is outstanding. I never had an empty glass in front of me without another on the way. When the food came, everything tasted great. We got sliders and these large tater tots, you’ve got to try these things. When the hot wings got to the table…… extra crispy and extra wet. Probably the best wings I’ve ever had. I believe it was a jukebox playing the music and was primarily country while i was there. I had a great time and will be back. I highly recommend Al’s

I come in here once a month for lunch when I come to KC. This place is a real regular joint, in the best way possible. Nothing fancy, just nice people in front of and behind the bar. Spring and Luis are great and always welcome me in.
Also, their Fried Bologna Sandwich with American Cheese Smothered Onions is shockingly delicious. Like… Really good.

We stopped in today for lunch as I’ve been seeing people recommend this place all over FB for their wings. The sign says Al and Tim’s bar and grill so I was worried it was the wrong place. When we walk in I asked two gentlemen talking if this was the place with the good wings and they both engaged and assured me we were at the right place. As we sat down to order one of the gentlemen approached and insisted on paying for our first 10 wings ( super sweet we wanted to refuse, but decided to accept and pass along the money to our waitress in her tip) we had the wings, chicken tenders and Philly all were great! When we walked out our 10 year old asked if we could come here vs bww lol… We wish we could and we would if we lived closer!!! Highly recommend! We will be back. Happy to have a new spot to visit when we’re out there.

If you want to find a relaxed low-key bar with absolutely great wings and a great time, I would, without a doubt, recommend this establishment. I have only tried the wings, and they are probably the best wings I have had in a very long time. The atmosphere, people, and staff brings me back to a local pub that I would always visit. Every time I walk in there, the patrons are more than eager to say hi. It also helps if you’re a chiefs or bills fan. I have alot of family in upper state New york, and it’s always great to relive that.

Passing through Kansas City, and I had a huge craving for wings. I’m glad I stopped at Al’s. Jessie helped me and was very attentive to my needs. Little did I know, it was wing Wednesday and it was pretty busy. I felt a bit bad for sitting at a high top table as people were waiting, but she made me feel at ease with her exceptional service. I’d come back again!

I was happy to find an individually owned and operated restaurant that serves great wings. I have been so tired of BWW and the other national chain wings restaurants low quality food and service. I was in KC for the holidays and found Al’s bar & Grille.
From the moment I walked in, I knew this was a good idea. The smell of frying chicken wings hit me as soon as I opened the door. Most of the tables were full of people enjoying a beer and wings. We placed an order for 20 wings and a few other items for the kids. When our food arrived, everything was perfectly cooked and hot. No one in our group had any complaints, which is a miracle when earing out with kids. The wings are some of the best in KC and the bar atmosphere seems like a fun place to hang with friends for a few drinks. I will stop on again when I get up that way.
