A cute little mountain town diner. A good place for a quick bit to eat. Staff was friendly, there was no wait.
Burgers were ok, not dry, but kind of bland.
Gator Tots were awesome, but could use some salt or seasoning. Cooked to perfection though!

The best part of this place is the shakes. The one I had was so delicious Burger and fries were middle of the road . The Chili and cheese is dispenser type but big portion of fries. 2 burgers, chili cheese fries and a shake was $46 . You can decide if thats good for you

Be prepared to spend a minimum of a half hour waiting here. Its decent enough, they just take forever and its very expensive. I spent $40 on 2 burgers and 1 onion rings. The burger is great, but the onion rings taste like fish, gross.
They take so long, theres a disclaimer on the window about how theyre not a fast food restaurant. They serve burgers, friend foods and milkshakes. The onion rings are usually very good, clearly theyre battered fresh. The milkshakes are good, too. Its the only drive thru in town, until ChickFilet opens up in the fall this year

The food was meh at best. My husband got the burger and I got the chicken nuggets. The burger was really small and dry and the nuggets were okay. The price didn’t match the portion size and the younger girl taking our order inside really seemed like we were an inconvenience to her when we were ordering (didn’t even customize). We had stopped there on our way from Crater Lake to Lassen National Park. The building and decor seemed nice at least.

And went here a little skeptical. Because it did look a little run down… Unfortunately, I had to wait about 8 minutes before they even took my order, which was unfortunate. Otherwise I would have given it five . But overall, I had great customer service. I ordered a butterfinger reesey’s pieces. Avalanches large . And their chicken nuggets, and honestly it was pretty good… I’ve got their burgers before and they’re honestly not that great, but overall I would definitely go again ….

The Alpine is a great, local burger shop! I’ve been coming here since 1993 and have never been disappointed. The cost for the amount of food I received was good. Granted, I only come to Burney once a year, but I still think the prices are fair. The portions are huge. The fries are perfect: crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. There wasn’t much salt on the fries, which I appreciate because I like to add my own salt. The burger was perfectly cooked, juicy, and fresh. The veggies were also very fresh. The lettuce was crisp and crunchy. I tasted the meat by itself; it was high quality. The sauce quality and quantity was good too. As I ate my buger, it did not fall apart, nor did it drip everywhere. Honestly, burgers are my favorite go-to meal, and my wife and I have made several road trips across the U.S. I have tried hundreds of burgers from hundreds of small, local shops, The Alpine consistenly stays in my top 10 for little burger joints. The staff is always friendly and courteous. I wish I had left a bigger tip! I am glad I live out of state because I’d be here multiple times a week. To the owners and staff of The Alpine: you are doing fantastic! Please don’t change a thing. Thank you.
(I took my burger back to my grandpa’s house, hence the plate and weird tablecloth setup in the photo.)

A local land mark, the pink Alpine Drive Inn. Great burgers, I got a double bacon cheese burger and it was very filling. The onion rings taste phenomenal! It was a great place to sit down with the family and enjoy a nice lunch after a hike to the falls. To finish off my stop I ordered a M&M avalanche. The first few bites were great but soon it seemed like I was just eating M&Ms, too many for my liking. If they did a third of the M&Ms it would have been perfect and this would have been a 5 star review. I’ll update this review if they end up taking my advice, But GREAT PLACE! I’ll be back.

i have been to the Alpine in Burney several times over the past few years with hit or miss experiences. in my most recent experience, i was disappointed by the costliness despite the place being a fast food establishment. my cheeseburger was okay, but it was very small given the $10 price tag. i also bought a large milkshake for $6.75, which had good flavor but was again overpriced. however, there aren’t many other options here in Burney anymore, so if you are looking for a fast food burger, this is your best (and probably only) bet.

By far one of my families favorite stops. We live in red bluff and make it a mission to stop here every time. Food is amazing, service is always immediate and kind, and the area is always beautiful

Waited behind one single car for almost 40 mins. I should not have wasted that much time (I know) but I was SO hungry. The service is usually pretty slow but it wasn’t even that busy yesterday 10/09/25. They should have people coming to the car taking orders instead of two different workers walking back n forth to the trash. Waited until we got to Redding to eat.
