If you’re looking for a longer break during your ski day, this is the perfect spot. You can either keep your ski boots on or change to one of their cozy shoes. Service is great and very attentive. Food is well presented. The cuisine is French, but you can find everything from soups to grilled cheese. The prices are a little high, especially when you have to tip the extremely friendly servers.

This was one of the top two on mountain dining experiences we’ve ever had anywhere! The atmosphere very inviting and cozy as they provide a slippers and Sherling blankets to keep you warm. The food is somewhat of a French German fusion technically from Alsace France. I have many dietary limitations, including being gluten-free and 80% of their menu was gluten-free, including things like chicken schnitzel that I haven’t been able to eat in over 10 years. My husband is a vegetarian and he had a very beautiful, creative and delicious parsnip dish. We have the almond cake for dessert. That was also delicious. This chef is no slouch and has fun creating delicious dishes. Considering it was on mountain dining it was a very good value for the entire experience, and I think the main courses were actually pretty fairly priced,

Food was so delicious, as well as the drink selection. Highly recommend the Chilean Sea Bass and the Chicken Schnitzel. We had a bottle of the CAMILLE BRAUN Brut, which was great. Overall, it was a fantastic experience for our party of 5!

EPIC! One of the best dining experiences of my life. My fiancé & I got engaged at the top of elk camp the morning of the 29th, earlier in the week I reached out to the alpine room to see if they could have a simple surprise like champagne waiting for us. I was absolutely blown away, when Emily, the chef, reached out to me sharing how she would love to make this experience special for us. She inquired about our food preferences, allergies, etc. We arrived & the champagne was waiting for us & what followed was absolutely incredible. One of the best dining experiences of our life. The staff, our waitress, the manager, everybody was over the top service wise & then Emily surprised us with a 3-course off menu meal. I truly mean it when I say one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. We both will never forget that lunch experience we had celebrate our special day, I’m tearing up just thinking about how much we felt cared for that day by everybody at the Alpin room! Thank you & love to all who took care of us!!! Cheers, James & Steph

We visit the Alpin Room regularly during our annual trips to Snowmass and have routinely enjoyed well prepared delicious food served by a very capable staff. This is a far cry from your typical on mountain dining experience; Chef Emily takes care to design a thoughtful menu and most everything we’ve tried we would order again. And this is done at a fair price that makes it easy to return.
Our favorites have been the sea bass and chicken schnitzel.

We made a reservation ( lunch served only) and received a confirmation text day-of. When we arrived, they had no record of the reservation. We were still seated, at a small table behind a pillar which blocked any view of the mountains. We spoke to a manager who offered to reseat us if we could be out in one hour to accommodate a later reservation. We agreed and he offered us rolls for our table, which we interpreted as a kind gesture for our reservation issue. Not so- we were charged $10 for 4 dinner rolls.
I ordered chicken schnitzel and my husband ordered the short ribs. The short ribs were moist and tender and the potatoes were good. Brussels sprouts were missing.
My chicken schnitzel was deplorably presented. ( the sauce was totally schmeared across the plate- nothing like the online photo presentation- wish I could post a photo! ) The chicken seemed to have been dipped in a fryer rather than sautéed, and was dry.
A disappointing and expensive meal. We would definitely NOT recommend this restaurant- a huge disappointment.

One of the best cheeseburgers I’ve had in my life. Pastrami bacon and beer cheese on pretzel bun. So unique.

Wow, I thought Alpin Room was one of the best on mountain restaurants I’ve ever been to! Great food, cocktails, atmosphere, and service! Pleasant views through the big windows from every table and very reasonable prices. I can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend!

We had a very bad experience here. I can’t speak for others. At least what I had is really disappointing.
We made a reservation well ahead of time through Tock for their tasting menu. They charged the credit card when the reservation was made, and made a rule that it is non refundable. But they charge $95 for the four courses, which would cost $10 less when ordered separately from their a la carte menu. And for the “tasting menu” we paid well ahead and more, we had fewer choices. I don’t see why we have to pay more for the tasting menu.
The service was slow in a frustrating way. The place is too crowded. The servers constantly asked you to stand up from your seat to “excuse him” because he wants to make a short cut.
The food is mediocre.
It is a no no for sure. Need so much improvements to go with the expectations they are trying to sell and set.
