The guys loved the cassette curds. Dave’s skillet dish was delicious and extremely hot when it came out. Phil’s pork bag came out lukewarm the first time and then again the second time. My beef brisket was beautiful looking. Picture is the first plate of food. It was cold. They took the whole tray back and the second platter came out lukewarm and half of the brisket was all fat. I did not get full. That platter cost $24! They gave us a 10% military discount for our troubles. Really? That we were getting already? $70 bill. Not worth it. The search is still on for great brisket!

First time trying this place since it came highly recommended and man it was awesome! Their BBQ aioli had just the right amount of sweet to the savory of the burger and the onion rings were a nice addition of texture. Very filling and the staff were awesome! Highly recommend!

Cute little spot! Food was good and staff was very friendly!! We got the pork nachos and the pick two platter with a cookie to go! Definitely hit the spot!! Loved the food was not smothered in BBQ. Had a good flavor and came out pretty quick!

We ordered the cowboy burger with coleslaw and the triple meat platter with sausage, wings, and brisket. The portions were generous and the meats were juicy and Smokey. The burger consisted of 2 thick smashed burger style patties with crispy edges and thick in the middle. The parking lot has a lot of space. We really enjoyed our meals and we will definitely be coming back!

Being a big “Q” fan (I’m visiting from NC the last few months), I’ve been all over the Hampton Roads area on a quest for great BBQ. I’ve found a number of good ones, but Alpha takes good BBQ and fixins and elevates them to another level. Pork and brisket are juicy, flavorful and just the right about of smoke. The slaw good but made great with a unique touch of citrus. The root beer baked beans a bit sweet, but a really different (but yummy) flavor profile. Do NOT miss the gumbo! Rich, hearty and just enough spice to let you know it’s gumbo – delish. I may have the BBQ sauce on the side next time for the pulled pork and brisket as I’m more about the meat than the sauce but all in all a great meal; about the best Q I’ve had since I’ve been in the area.

We had Alpha Pitt Smokers cater our wedding last month. Our initial tasting was fantastic, with generous portions! The food at our ceremony did not disappoint! The only pain point was email communication leading up to our event. Definitely recommend their tasty options!

Wasn’t very busy, took food about 30 min to come out. It was pretty pricey for the amount of food you get. Mashed potatoes were sticky like they’ve been blended. And the pulled pork’s only flavor was from the bbq sauce.

The food was delicious! Our family tried the Cowboy BBQ sandwich, the BBQ BLT’s and the Golden sausage sandwiches. For sides, we had green beans, root beer baked beans, fries, and the coleslaw. The portion sizes were excellent and we enjoyed all of the sides except the coleslaw. The only negative is the wait time, although there never seems to be a crowd. I would definitely eat here again and recommend to others.
