Absolutely one of my favorite places in the area! I highly recommend this place if you like the good ol American food. We ordered the warthog, the shug, the 2 dogs and the chili. The seasoned fries with the ranch was definitely delicious and im not a ranch person, but i was today! The service was absolutely perfect and definitely enjoyed the conversation with them. The atmosphere is great and the inside is a cool throwback and had a Top Gun feel. The restaurant front opens to the airport where you can see the airplanes. Awesome awesome awesome. You’ll have my service every time I’m back in the area!

Great burgers! I had the brisket and the cinnamon roll pork rinds!The owner Randy came and spoke with us for a little while and told us all about the history of the business. Great guy, really enjoyed getting to hear his story and loved the atmosphere inside the restaurant. He told us every picture on the wall was given by a customer and came with a story.

The experience was positive. The food was good. If I had to suggest an improvement, I would suggest making the biscuits a bit smaller. The size of the biscuits overwhelm the sausage, eggs and other delicious foods.

The food was TOP Tier! The Menu names were clever with a ton of variety! After receiving, the food the Owner was so kind and friendly. This is the best place I have been in over 15 years. I highly recommend bringing the family out even if you are not expecting to fly! You also have bonus of watching Airplanes Takeoff and land!

The review speak for themselves. This restaurant is amazing. I came here after being starving from being at the airport all morning and had never heard of this place. Great customer service. I highly suggest getting the brisket burger. It was honestly one of the best burgers I’ve had in Birmingham. The brisket was surprisingly juicy fresh and the barbecue sauce was really tasty.

Great American food with an aviation twist. Great food, great service, and a fun place to eat a burger and watch planes come and go across the street. The boneless wings are absolutely amazing. I got the pickle fries and they did not disappoint. Both excellent. We went back the next day and I had a burger it was equally amazing!

Four stars are for the location. On a recent visit here, my friend and I stopped here for breakfast. For two omelets with cheese grits, one order of toast and two drinks, we spent nearly $40. The food was average at best, and some items listed on a menu I viewed online were not available or the menu had not been updated. Service was good and as we sat, our food was brought to our table. The grits came out way before the omelet and the cheese never really melted. While this was neither the best nor worst food I’ve eaten, the views of the airport were unmatched. I watched several small jets and several commercial flights take off. We opted to sit outside and brave the summer bugs. I want to go back just for the view and to try the lunch menu.

Alpha Charlie is an excellent lunch spot. I ordered the lemon pepper wings, fries, onion straws, and pork rinds—and everything impressed.
The lemon pepper wings were well-seasoned and cooked perfectly. The fries were thin-cut, which was a nice change from the usual, and they were extremely flavorful. The onion straws were crisp, light, and very tasty.
The real standout was the pork rinds. Although listed as an appetizer, the portion was massive—easily enough for four or five people. They were clearly fresh made and still crackling when they arrived at the table.
If you’re looking for a great lunch place with quality food and generous portions, Alpha Charlie is a must.
