I have shopped here for more than 25 years and this is a superb place. The sandwiches are big and good and a great value for the money. The staff are polite, up beat and entirely service and quality oriented. I can’t say enough positive about Alpen Pantry.

Great little store for finding cool ingredient and snack products. Love the freshness of the selection although sometimes you fall in love with something then it’s not there. A little seating would be nice too 🙂

I recently went here for the first time. I’ve lived in Greenwich my whole life and can’t believe it has taken me this long to discover this absolute GEM. I love when a place focuses on one thing and does it right. For Aplen it’s the cold sandwiches and they do it the BEST. The sandwiches are very simple, but details like dressings from scratch, tearing the cold cuts while placing it on the bread, and the finely shredded lettuce make it outstanding. Their “Black Bread”, pumpernickel, is soft and moist like cake. I tried 3 of their fan favorites; The Stilton, The Bomber, and The Bearnaise. I honestly can say they were all amazing. I can’t wait to go back to try all of their menu. I know their sandwiches sound so basic, I thought that too, but that’s what makes it so mind blowing. If you’re in the area of Old Greenwich, this is a HAVE TO TRY. If you stop in from this review, tell’em Mike sent you.

High welfare chef here—had just finished a meal prep session with a client and was starving. Stopped by this place craving a sandwich and WOW. One of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a while. The black bread is so soft. Highly recommend and will be going back weekly

Got a cup of their delicious Italian wedding soup today. The flavors were great. The broth to substance ratio was incredible. Was perfect for a day like today made me feel nice and cozy. Overall I recommend and would order again!

Great Sandwiches! But add ons are a bit pricy. Bag of chips was like 2- 3 times the price i would of expected.

20 years ago, I moved away from the Old Greenwich area.. One thing my family and I miss the most is the food on the East Coast..
Recently, I was able to again have the food from Alpine Pantry . Now 20 years later, the taste and the quality of the food has not changed. It is still absolutely delicious.. While the Bearnaise Sandwich is our family’s favorite, we are now determined to try all of them while we can.. Their dark bread is amazing I highly recommend Alpen Pantry It’s a great place for sandwiches.. You will not be disappointed.

Drew and his team are the absolute best!! I order my favorite sandwich a few times a month (Gobbler on black bread) every time it’s 10/10 as it truly never disappoints.

Good food. Price reflects the quality products. Inside is an assortment of unique specialty products, drink and chip options. Would be nice if there was a small table with chairs to enjoy eating.

I have been eating at this sandwich shop since the 1990s and it sure has changed. I ordered a sandwich called the bomber and it it was a dud. There was so much lettuce on it to make up for the lack of roast beef. The owner asked me twice if I wanted chips and a drink. Then he asked me if I wanted napkins. What a joke!!! Of course I want a napkin. If I wanted chips and a drink I would get them. Ask me once but not twice. I will never eat there again.
