Here, the service was on par with the quality of the food. I tried Alpaca for the first time and now I can’t get enough of the chicken. I’m really happy that I ordered it. Before I leave town, I’ll need to get it again. The salad was tasty and more than enough food.

The people here are friendly and attentive! The chicken is delicious and seasoned well! The rice is kind of bland and the state of my salad was dismal. Very brown and slimy. For $30 for a single meal, not impressed or worth the money. If you come here stick with the chicken!

Overall, I was not impressed.
A group of us met here for a birthday lunch. We came at 1pm so getting a table wasn’t an issue. Be aware that there isn’t much parking directly in front of the restaurant; you might need to park in the spaces near the street entrance.
Everyone but me had chicken and they got a sizable portion that everyone seemed to enjoy. I got the “vegetarian plate”, which consisted of 3 sides. What I didn’t realize is that if you want maduros or yucca, there is an extra charge. So I paid $17 for a small scoop of rice with black beans, maduros, yucca, and a fountain drink. I posted a picture of the meal. IMO this was too expensive.
The food line moved quickly, but dining room service was dismal. No knives or spoons and very few forks. Twice I asked workers for forks and they had an unhelpful attitude.
The dining area has high ceilings without any sort of sound damping. It was very difficult for us to converse.

Fell in love with this place as soon as I tasted the food… its the best healthy fresh food I’ve had in the area , the service was amazing , thank you to the girl named “lili” for serving my delicious food with a beautiful smile , always good to see employees work with a smile and good attitude, overall 11/10 experience. Definitely a nice area outside to sit at and enjoy the weather but I definitely will be bringing a couple coworkers and family here.

We were in Mebane shopping and decided to find a place to eat. My daughter researched and found Alpaca Peruvian Chacoal Chicken. We looked at the menu and decided to eat here and it was 8 minutes from where we were. This was our first time here.
We walked in and loved how the atmosphere was airy, bright, happy and colorful. We looked over the menu and placed our order. Shout out to Jimena, Sarah and Katherine who were, welcoming, friendly and helpful! They did an awesome job helping us order and where everything (silverware, sauces, napkins) were.
We ordered a 1/2 chicken white and our two sides of rice and coleslaw! The chicken, which was a large breast, was very tender and juicy. They were juicy and tender. Loved the chicken skin as well. We also got two sauces (yellow and green, for the chicken. The sauces were fresh and flavorful! The rice was a very nice portion. The coleslaw was delicious with the right amount of sweetness and crunchiness! Shout out to the prep and chefs for doing a great job with preparing and cooking the food.
The restaurant dining area and the bathroom were very clean! Finding a parking spot could be tricky depending on the day and time!
I would like to know what the $2.99 charge was for.

I usually don’t make a review but this time I had to. I did take out 7:02 tonight and I was greeted with smiles and warmness. Uriel was my first server he told me he would be right with me (due to he was completing two orders in front of me) no biggie but he kept apologizing for me having to wait. He took my chicken order and then pass my plates to Israel whom was getting my sides well they were waiting on plantains (he apologize for me having to wait) mind you it only took about 3 mins top to wait for my total wait time. The level of professionalism was so impressive along with them enjoying what they were doing, was nice to see. Sarah was next she was in charge making sure all of my orders were correct before I was then serviced by Annika this sweet young lady top off my wonderful experience with her patience as I tried to get my card out. Asking did I need anything else, even though they were busy, they all took time to address me as an individual. Superior Customer Service was displayed to me. Even though every time I come, the service is superb!! Tonight was far and beyond!! They needed recognition. This is why I will always be a customer at this location. Thank you team Alpaca we where awesome

The food is amazing, but the portions tend to be rather large. I had the quinoa salad with chicken and could not finish. But it was delicious, with actual greens, not just iceberg lettuce. Yucca fries were ok, next time I’ll choose something a bit healthier as a side.
The only complaint I had was that it was rather chilly inside (in July!).
I will certainly be back again!

Our family finds the food to be flavorful and a nice change from the meals we’ve become accustomed to having. We especially enjoy the green sauce that often comes with the chicken meals, along with the yuca and maduros. In terms of portion sizing of sides– sometimes these are inconsistent, with some workers filling the bottom of a container plus its lid, and somehow successfully closing it. Others just fill the bottom, which ends up being less food. It would be nice if this was consistently the first scenario, but not a huge issue. The family meals are probably the best deal (more affordable than purchasing separate meals for a family at a regular restaurant), and it’s worthwhile to use the app to get special deals and discounts. They do offer a chart that shows which foods have certain ingredients that could be bothersome for those with food sensitivities and we’ve had no issue finding food options for those of us that have them.

So glad you are closer to us now! We used to drive to Durham for lunch. We will be visiting again soon! So delish. Our favs are the chicken, beans, tostones and yucca fries! My husband always gets the daily special. Wishing you much success at this location!
