Vietnamese-Peruvian fusion fare served in a casual-chic outpost.

The value for the money you get at Alora is top notch. We thoroughly enjoyed all of the dishes we tried and wished we had room to try a few more. I also really enjoyed my cocktail. We brought our 6 month old and it looked like there were several other families with kids about the same age. The wait staff was really nice. Overall, can’t wait to come back!

We came to Alora for dinner and absolutely loved it! We ordered the Vietnamese noodle bowl, anticucho, and pork chop – every dish was amazing and beautifully presented. The cocktails were incredibly creative and paired perfectly with the meal. The restaurant itself is gorgeous with a great vibe. Truly a hidden gem in the Montrose area. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our first experience here. The lomo saltado was excellent, and we asked for the pasta a la Huancaína with lomo instead of chicken—it turned out great as well. The ceviche had a delicious leche de tigre, though we felt the fish itself could have had more flavor.
Other than that, everything was wonderful—the service was very attentive, the atmosphere was pleasant, and we loved the desserts and the Vietnamese coffee. While there’s no valet, the small parking lot next to the restaurant made it easy to find a space.
We’re looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes in the future!

We celebrated my birthday at Alora, and it was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. My husband worked with Ngoc and Diego, who went out of their way to make everything feel personal and effortless. They helped us plan a beautiful setup on the patio — the perfect space for everyone to mingle with wine before brunch.
The food was fantastic — every appetizer was a hit, and brunch was delicious and beautifully prepared. Chef Mykala truly outdid herself! You could taste the care and creativity in every dish.
It felt like celebrating with friends who genuinely wanted the day to be special. I can’t thank the Alora team enough for helping make my birthday so memorable. We’ll definitely be back!

The spicy seafood ceviche is the star here! I can still taste the delicacy. 5 stars for the ceviche. The misses for me were two main things.
One the owner asked me if I had reservations- it was how the question was asked. The restaurant was super empty. Only 3 people at the bar and one couple at a table and as a person who dines out at restaurants frequently. This was asked right before I sat down at my table.
A paying customer will state that at the beginning or it will be asked up front from the hostess. It came across as unprofessional, dry and unfriendly.
Secondly, the drinks are okay. The first drink which is a take on a Pisco Sour did not do it justice. For someone who has been to Lima and to many countries in Latin America, I would not order it again. If you’ve never had a Pisco Sour before, you would probably think it’s good.
My server was nice and the 2nd drink with grapefruit was so much better.

I have been here a few times and always enjoy myself. The food is good and tableware is beautiful. The service is excellent and the venue is so cute. It’s the perfect spot for an intimate get together or a date and has indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is always a bit of a struggle if it’s a busy weekend but there is a small parking lot next to the building, street parking and a few nearby pay to park lots.

We stumbled upon this restaurant and were so glad we did. A fusion Vietnamese and Peruvian restaurant with an upscale atmosphere. The service was fantastic. B was our server and he was very attentive as well as a pleasure to talk to.
We had the beef papaya salad and wings over crispy fried rice noodles for starters and pork chop with cumin rice and slaw for our entree.
Vietnamese coffee 10/10
Papaya salad was 10/10 beef was so tender and the Vietnamese hot mint herb made the dish for us.
The wings were 7/10 delicious and cooked well. Ver flavorful.
Pork chop was cooked to perfection 8/10

Absolutely amazing top to bottom. We started off with two cocktails The Ponces and Pho-quila . The Ponce had a bright taste to it very delicious. The pho-quila was beautifully spice and tajin rim , with notes of cinnamon and slight bitters . For starters Duck Crispy Spring Rolls , Spicy Seafood Ceviche and Pork Belly Banh mi . The duck was so tender and delicious and the sauce amazing . The ceviche had calamari, red snapper and shrimp and sweet potato. Recommended to have each piece in one bite . Absolutely to die for . The service so welcoming . I would recommend 100% . When I’m in Houston I’m coming back .

Pretty unique flavors, great and friendly service, and a cozy neighborhood vibe. Went to dinner with my wife, and we had the saltado and gallina. They were really delicious and perfect cooked. Had the fried sweet potatoes for dessert, and it was very fluffy and not too sweet. Everyone should definitely check this place out.
