I Love Alanzo’s.. the servers and the chef are incredible. The conch ceviche is the BEST on the island! (And it’s on happy hour now). The fish dishes are always great! Ask about specials, because when they have them it’s a chef creation! The tuna nachos appetizer has the highest quality ahi you will find. Fish bites are mostly tasty fish not just breaded sticks!
BUT ask about the size of the bang bang tacos! Tiny as of this review.. one shrimp per taco, used to be full size with 2 shrimp each.

Alonzo’s is not what it used to be for Happy Hour. This used to be a staple in Key West for Happy Hour and is just about blah nowadays. Yes, it is in a beautiful area, but the service has somewhat gone down and the drink and food selections for happy hour have dropped off the menus. Unfortunately, what was left was ok, and not an experience that beckons you back for a repeat.
We ordered the Buffalo shrimp that was a generous offering of large, plump shrimp, but the buffalo sauce lacked flavor and punch to it. We ordered the fish dip, and along with some moist crackers that were served with it, the dip itself was unimpressive. We also ordered the Mahi Fish bites, and they seemed chewy and not fresh.
Overall, I hope someone takes corrective action and brings back some of their flagship drinks on the happy hour menu and tightens up the kitchen and wait staff for a better overall experience. Till then, there are better options out there for the happy hour hunter.

Came here feb 9th. This place was a treat, and our server Shannon made it doubly so.
Good prices, phenomenal food. Shannon steered me towards the lobster mac and cheese, and after that I would trust her with my life.
If you’re in key west (and not lactose intolerant) that lobster Mac should be a must have. And their key lime pie was my second favorite on the island! I would know, I tried 14.

We hosted our son’s wedding rehearsal dinner for 85 people at Alonzo’s Patio Bar and everything was perfect! From the early stages of planning to the day of the event, the sales manager Natasha was attentive and communicative. She worked with the chef to create an amazing menu specified to our needs! The location is fabulous right on the docks and the space looks beautiful lit up at night. The bartenders Nicole and Marjorie kept the drinks flowing and everyone very happy! Milana made sure the food was continuously available, that everything was cleaned up quickly and focused on small details throughout the night making a mom’s life at one of these events so much easier!! And Natasha also stayed through out the event to make sure things went smooth. She even worked keeping the raw bar full all evening!!! If you are looking for a place to host your event in Key West, give them a call.

We 1st time trying this restaurant because I wanted Robster roll and oysters in the same time . Server pretty nice with no pressure.
Food is excellent and fair price only Hostess seems to mean and not happy that we didn’t make a reservation. Overall good so far.
Key lime pie is good texture too.

This large waterfront spot is simply overpriced for what it offers. Interestingly, the next door restaurant tends to be very busy while Alonso’s appears mostly empty — does it say something, I think so.
At $3 per oyster during happy hour and $4 per oyster the rest of the time, the pricing feels excessive. There are easily a dozen restaurants on the island offering oysters at less than half that price. For example, The Thirsty Mermaid serves half a dozen for $8 during daily happy hour.
With so many competitively priced options nearby, it’s hard to justify the premium here.
Nice location though.

Happy hour is good. Definitely worth it. Food is 3/5 , seafood is 4/5 , Atmosphere would be good only if you would sit outside, nothing fun inside. Server was great, hostess was not helpful.

SHANNON was amazing. The food was exceptional. We had the crab/shrimp dip, captain’s platter, oyster shooters, clam chowder, and bacon cheddar cheeseburger at our table. Everything was spot on. Definitely recommend this place 1000 times over.
