Omg soo good. We got the chicken katsu with rice and mac salad- soo crispy! The ribeye loco moco- the gravy and eggs on the ribeye- chef’s kiss! Lastly we got mac nut banana pancakes to share– the most delicious pancakes ive had in a loong time and not too sweet.

Visiting my BFF and he took me to Aloha Stacks for the weekend brunch. He’s been wanting to try this place after hearing so many wonderful feedbacks. singing its praises. We got there around noon and the place was packed. It smelled incredible, so I knew I was in for a good time. When we finally made our way to the counter, we ordered the beef ribs with eggs, the omurice, and the ube and coconut pancakes. AMAZING! Definitely lived up to the hype.

We’ve been wanting to try this spot and finally did! We did like the Hawaiian options for breakfast and the pancakes were delicious!
I wish they’d have healthier options when it comes to sides – the only two were fried potatoes and tater tots.
Their coffee was pretty good, pricing overall was decent

Came by because of all the nice yelp review. Parking lot was small, but street parking is also available. There is a line when we got here. We get in line to order the food, and a server will help us look for a table if we would like to dine in. We were seated soon after we ordered the food. We ordered Chorizo scramble, guava toffee french toast, mac nut pancake, and ube latte. The chorizo scramble was sad and disappointed. It was dry and tasteless. The French toast is decent: however, the pancake is dry and doughie. The coffee is probably the best in this meal. I was a bit disappointed about this brunch because of the high expectation I had. Will probably not come back again.

Light casual Hawaiian eatery.

Orders are placed before sitting – food is brought out to your table after.

Breakfast was a delight.

The ube pancakes and fried rice Omelette were delicious as well as the Spam Masubi.

Main dishes (like the omelette) come with a choice of side either potatoes or pancakes which was nice as most other places don’t give the option.

These were some of the best fried breakfast potatoes I’ve had a in awhile.

I look forward to visiting again.

smaller-sized shop. menu inside the store is partially hidden by the fountain machine, make sure to move to the right side to see the rest of the menu.

we got ube coconut pancakes and eggs benedict. they incorporated ube both by mixing it into the pancakes and by covering the pancakes with an ube sauce. pancakes had a slight mochi-mochi bounce in the chew, very pleasant. pancakes and sauce were both not very sweet, so you were still able to add maple syrup.

the eggs in the benedict were cooked very nicely – enough that the yolk doesn’t run everywhere, but not enough that it’s cooked all the way through. tomato was grilled, English muffin was grilled as well. good crunch. I think the hollandaise sauce could have had more flavor. home fried potatoes were on the softer side.

their pancakes are quite peak, would come back again!

Little Hawaiian oasis in the middle of a sparse strip mall-dotted area a few miles south of us in El Monte, next to a small county airport. Aloha Stacks is a SoCal pancake house chain that also specializes in Moco Loco, spam musubi, and other Hawaiian treats like Ube pancakes. Absolutely spotless restaurant! Even the maple syrup container at my table was super clean. Kind, friendly staff. Mellow Hawaiian music. Delicious chocolate chip pancakes and strong Lavazza coffee.

Aloha Stacks is such a hidden gem in El Monte! I stopped by for a quick pick-me-up and got their ube coffee drink—and wow, it was so good. Perfectly layered, not too sweet, and you can really taste the creamy ube mixed with smooth espresso. It’s as pretty as it is delicious (definitely Instagram-worthy).

The staff was super friendly and welcoming, giving off that true island aloha spirit. Service was quick, and everything felt fresh and made with care. You can tell they put thought into both their drinks and presentation.

Whether you’re in the mood for a colorful coffee, fluffy pancakes, or just something refreshing, Aloha Stacks is worth the stop. I’ll definitely be coming back to try their breakfast next time! ☕️

I’ve been coming here more often because its close to me than aloha factory. Both of them are pretty equal as far as taste. The only thing that set them apart today was that they started serving rib eye with their loco mocos! I so so excited to get home and try it!

A couple of things that were off to me today tho. My wife called a few times around 10:40 AM to order for pick up and got no answer. Im not too sure on when they open but when I got there, it was before 11:00AM. So im assuming they were opened already. Maybe just too busy to answer phone.
Second part was the rib eye. I could not order how I want my rib eye. When I got it, some parts were well done and some were medium well. Preferably, I want my rib eye medium. I guess because they put that over the rice and the blood will be all over it. Maybe they can do like a compartment container and have the rice separate with the gravy on the side. I found the rib eye to be a little on the chewy side, but most of it was good. Another part was that the rib eye was plain. It wasn’t seasoned or anything. Good thing they gave me some salt and black pepper.

Overall, definitely satisfied. Hopefully the owner reads this and makes some changes. If they dont, im still ok with it because it was well worth it. $19 for the rib eye vs the patty for $14. Their pancakes are delicious too! Don’t forget to try em while you’re here!
