We’re a small, family-run ramen shop — and behind every bowl is a story that began in Hawaii. Our recipes follow the standards we learned working at a ramen shop there, and we stay true to that by sourcing our broths and ingredients from professional Japanese food importers — the same supply chain trusted by authentic Japanese restaurants across the country. “Aloha” is more than our name. It’s the piece of island life, memory, and love we carried with us to Madison. We’re takeout-focused, but we’ve always made sure there’s a cozy seat, complimentary iced water and green tea, and a relaxed atmosphere here for you. To this warm community that has welcomed and supported our little family shop — from the bottom of our hearts, Mahalo.

Kind of a hole in the wall place – seating is limited, one comfy four top and then a lot of stuff mostly designed for 1-2 people. The booths can hold 4 people, but it will be a tight 4. They will hand you a menu when you come in, but you will order at the counter when you are ready. Water and unsweet tea were self serve and free, they had canned Coke products (no Coke Zero) — all the dishes were served in togo/disposable containers. Employees were extremely friendly.
We ordered a variety of dishes to sample everything; shrimp katsu plate, chicken gyoza, chicken katsu, beef curry rice and tonkotsu Ramen. Prices are reasonable for Huntville – Curry or Ramen dishes are $15, Katsu plates $12, and Kids (Keiki) are $8. Portions were good and food came out quickly.
Wife is half Asian and said all the food was food for the most part. She enjoyed her Ramen and my Curry. I was not a fan of the gyoza (might have been it being chicken and not pork) and felt the sear was light. Vegetables in my curry were huge, but that’s a nitpick. Both my kids ate their ketsu and rice without complaint; chicken ketsu I stole was moist.
Definitely give it a shot!
We both got the spicy tonkotsu ramen (pictured). Noodles were cooked perfectly and the broth was just right, not overly spicy.
My only small complaint is the chashu in the ramen. I do feel like it could have been a little more tender and flavorful, but overall the ramen was still very good.
In conclusion, you should definitely come here if you want some good ramen in a cozy atmosphere. The prices were a little cheaper when compared to somewhere like Kamado in MidCity. I definitely plan on coming here again
First food is great except if you are craving greasy food no go.(still great but I am sure some people will prefer the unhealthy choice) another example they offer water and tea(not sweet tea)and of course you can still get your drink coca-Cola/ carbonated drink.
Now until the food, I like how the food is served on to go containers only drawback be the serving portions might be slightly smaller when compared elsewhere but the food taste is great and it’s healthy. ( even the croquette is/was good ,not that much grease/oil on it)
Location and customer service is also great.
I ordered the Chicken Katsu Curry, Tonkotsu Ramen, shrimp katsu, spring rolls, and gyoza. Every single dish was outstanding. The Chicken Katsu Curry was perfectly crispy with rich, flavorful curry that tasted just like what I remember from living in Japan. The Tonkotsu Ramen had a deep, creamy broth with that slow-simmered flavor that you just can’t fake. Even the appetizers , especially the shrimp katsu and gyoza were fresh, hot, and beautifully prepared.
What truly sets this place apart is the atmosphere and hospitality. The restaurant is clean, welcoming, and family-friendly. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive. Their warmth genuinely reminded me of the hospitality I experienced in Japan and Hawaii.
It’s rare to find food that brings back memories like that, but Aloha Ramen House absolutely delivered. I highly recommend this place to everyone, whether you’re a ramen lover or just looking for an amazing meal.
We will definitely be back!
Also the service is great and the lady who greeted us was very kind!
Udon. If you are not a fan of Kamado, definitely visit here. As you can see from the photo, their oils are clean every timeI visit

Croquette, chicken Katsu and ramen were great. I wish chicken katsu is little bit thicker and the chashu can be thinner so its easier to eat. Overall, very clean and nice restaurant to visit if you live nearby.
