I ordered on the kiosk and had the food 15 minutes later. Hot and fresh and lots of flavor. I got the 3 combo plate and banana lumpia. I recommend the chargrilled chicken. Definitely try the aloha sauce and the katsu sauce are both great. Definitely will be back to try other things since their menu is a good size

So I’m not big on sweet meats .. was delightfully surprised!! My food was so yummy. The smell alone was rich!! So good, very much will be a repeat customer here.
They put their foot in that brown gravy that topped my meat patties. The chicken was tender n moist. The steak slices were perfectly cooked and sliced just right.
Was not busy at all for Saturday lunch stop.

Oh. My. Goodness. I was craving chicken Katsu and typically I cook myself, but wanted to take a break from cooking and searched up Hawaiian BBQ on my way home from work. Shockingly it’s right next to my apartment – I’ve lived here for 3 years and pass by everyday not knowing this literally gem is hiding in plain site. They cooked everything fresh and I ordered the combo with chicken Katsu and BBQ beef which comes with rice and Mac salad. Right off the bat the breading on the chicken Katsu is PERFECTION. The chicken is moist and fresh. The beef I thin and cooked incredible. The flavor is mouth watering. Rice is sticky just how I like it. The Mac was perfect mild flavor that isn’t overpowering like some can be. Now the sauces just give the dish that elevation that exceeds it all. I love all three. Katsu sauce is perfect sweetness and flavorful. To die for. The Sweet and Spicy took the show paring with the beef wow! The og sauce is perfect too. Overall I am fighting to not clear the whole plate but my stomach is going to explode! 1000000/10 worth it.

This is a very small hole in the wall Hawaiian style food place and it was verrryyyy good! I got chicken katsu with brown gravy my husband got the super loco moco that came with the burger patties and spam! These plates are well worth the money. I’ll have plenty for dinner tonight! This place is a deff must and as local to Hawaii as you will get. We lived in Hawaii for 7 years and even the L&L by us doesn’t compare to Hawaii.

Just happened upon this place while planning to check out a movie with the younger sibling. He picked it out and I’m so glad he did. It’s unassuming and very casual, but it’s so worth the trip. I loved the beef combo and the barbecue chicken as well. The rice was cooked perfectly the first time, but for some reason my second visit it was slightly less exceptional, but still good. The macaroni salad always makes me sad I don’t get more than one scoop. Next time I might see if I can substitute a scoop of rice for an extra mac salad scoop. Give it a shot! I’ll definitely be back again and again.

Nice selection of food with great prices. The portions are amazing. The aloha sauce is my favorite, I didn’t care much for the spicy and sour. There are several Hawaiian juices that are amazing and different. It was quiet when I came, and there is ample seating. The table and the napkins dispenser we were at looked like they needed to be wiped down, maybe a little dusting would be beneficial. The chicken combo is so delicious and enough food for a lunch and a snack later. Bought two lunch combos and two juices and spent about $28, will definitely return.

Oak Lawn

This place is good but sometimes it’s dirty. Also they take forever to make your order. It’s always new people so I can’t really say anything about the staff but they seem friendly.

Short ribs, sliced beef, and spicy pork chop is what we get in the family meal almost every time.

The price isn’t too bad either. With all that being said go as a group and make sure to try the aloha sauce over the white rice they give you
