Delicious cake and treats. Everything came out so nice. Wedding cake and cupcakes were amazing. We ordered cookies, brownies and mini key lime pies as well. Nothing was left behind not even a crumb. Definitely recommend.

We were having a baby ant the Outer Banks and wanted a small cake and about 3 dozen cupcakes … not only did Almost Heaven Bakery overcome a freezer/fridge mechanical emergency but the cup/cakes were delicious and moist. The cupcakes were big and the frosting was generous. Guests raved about them! Thank you to Almost Heaven Bakery for the beautiful and yummy additions to our shower!

OH MY GOSH! The best cupcakes and deserts I have ever had in my life. I had cupcakes, cake pops and chocolate covered pretzels for my baby shower, and everything came out PERFECT and exactly what I wanted. Great customer service and easy going! Will be using them again and I highly recommend!

Full disclosure it was 1pm at the time of my visit so my apple fritter was very dry, maybe a few seconds in microwave may have helped? Or getting there first thing in the morning…the young man was attentive but the many empty trays could have been removed from display and cleaned and entry doors cleaned. Not gonna give up , this place has Potential, excellent reviews when it comes to cakes so will try another day

Our wedding cake was absolutely amazing! We planned our destination wedding in OBX from Arizona. We were in town one time before the wedding and stopped by to check out this bakery and we were happy we did. Melinda and Chloe were great!
On the day of our wedding, they dropped off the cake and the set up was perfect. We had a 2 tiered cake with cupcakes for our 26 person wedding. It was all delicious. Every person at our wedding commented on how delicious it was. We had a vanilla with raspberry filling and triple chocolate with cannoli filling cake. The cupcakes were red velvet and vanilla. Would definitely recommend this bakery!!

Our family was in town on vacation and celebrating a birthday. We called ahead from home to order a cake. Our interaction was fantastic from the moment they picked up the phone.
We arrived in the OBX and the next day, we went to the bakery to pick up our cake. I was early so it was not ready. The people inside were not put off or upset because I arrived early. Very politely they asked me if I would not mind waiting while they finished the cake. At one point I was approached and explained that one aspect of our cake was just not coming out correctly (this was piping the shell decorations). They offered another suggestion which was chocolate shaped shells, which I said would work. When they finished decorating the cake they brought it out for me to see, and it was spectacular. Now, when it was time to have the cake later that night, the cake was absolutely delectable. The flavor was on point and it was incredibly moist. For not being familiar with the OBX and taking a chance on a bakery from a Google search, we are so happy we found Almost Heaven Bakery.

My husband and I booked Almost Heaven for our destination wedding in the OBX. We were not able to taste cakes prior to booking as we booked this from 500 miles away. Melinda was wonderful to speak with and made some great recommendations for our small wedding. The key lime cupcakes and marble cake with chocolate mousse filling were to die for! Our order was delivered on time and overall was extremely affordable. We have no regrets in the choice we made and 100% recommend this bakery!
