my sister and i went to this gorgeous store today (07/02) at around 3 o’clock and the girl working was soo lovely!
she greeted us with a lovely smile, and allowed us time to pick what sweets to get. she made sure to show us what sweets were added into the box so we didn’t leave disappointed if there had been a mistake (which there wasn’t). it’s so so nice going to a shop where the staff respect their customers, and we’re gutted we didn’t ask for her name!
we’ve been here numerous times & the food/service is always amazing!

The iced lattes were delicious. The fruit flan was soggy and dont hold enough custard.

I got the chocolate croissant and the Portuguese tart. Both were not crispy at all and quite honestly seemed a bit old. The tart had clearly dried out quite a bit since the surface of the custard had lost its fluff and had a different texture than the rest. Besides that it was very flat. I hope they will bake their pastries the same day they sell them in the future

Almost French Patisserie on Swan Street is a ‘no frills’ French inspired bakery / Cafe.
The shop itself is very plain so the pastries and breads have to do the heavy lifting. Thankfully that’s exactly what occurs with delicious authentic pastries.
Don’t expect to be wowed with the service or decor. You can expect amazing pastries.

I came across this small pastry shop on my way to the station. I ordered their apple & cinnamon danish and a cup of latte for breakfast. The pastry was tasty and buttery, but it was possibly made yesterday as it lacks the texture of a good danish pastry. Their coffee was good though.

Stopped in for a quick coffee, the service was a little slow, the cafe was nothing special. Service was ok, good coffee!!
Unfortunately we didn’t get to try any dessert / food, it looked ok, some of the cakes looked very hard & dry, some looked good.
Might try some food next time, but can honestly say they make a good coffee though ☕️

I had severe food poisoning after purchasing a toasted ham, cheese and tomato croissant on Saturday 10th Jan.
This completely ruined my weekend and start to the week. I was violently ill.
Looking back on my purchase, I recall the food was sitting in a display unit with no temperature control on a hot summer’s day so this could likely be the reason.
Either way, hygiene should be the prevailing priority for all hospitality services.

Great coffee, great macarons, great croissants. Easy to get a pram in and out. Made a cute baby chino with chocolate and sprinkles and marshmallows. Good spot for a mum to drink a coffee in peace. Friendly staff. Very affordable for the quality.
