Came on a Saturday night for dinner, it was pretty busy but luckily there was no wait. The restaurant is overall very cozy and ambient which I appreciate greatly. The vibes are immaculate and the service is very warm and friendly. The food is amazing! We ordered the lamb and beef tips as a shared meal option that comes with some veggies and dips. It was my first time trying enjera (described as a pancake bread that tastes like sourdough) and I thought it was so interesting and tasty. The prices are quite reasonable for the area and overall quality. If I find myself craving Ethiopian food this will be my first choice.

Ive been here several times, always amazing quality food! The Ethiopian food is really well spiced and tender meat, lots of vegetarian options too. Smoothies, great coffee, and some simple wraps and sandwiches as well. Friendly staff, fun atmosphere. Nice to eat in but also casual enough to chill if youre coming by yourself. Huge portions, I usually take leftovers. Super close to Rittenhouse Square!

Very Amazing mom and pop shop with a lowkey interior. The food was absolutely amazing!! We got the vegetarian platter and the beef curry and it was the best ethiopian food I have ever had!!!! Really great and not too heavy.

Great little place to get really good Ethiopian food in the city. We had the restaurant to ourselves and enjoyed everything we ordered. Only complaint is they put one of the chicken dishes on the player with the vegetarian sampler and my wife is vegetarian.

Delicious food and super cozy atmosphere. This is my favorite Ethiopian restaurants in Philly and one of my favorite restaurants in the Rittenhouse/Center City area. Highly recommend

Almaz Cafe has been my favorite restaurant in Philly for a long time. Solomon and Almaz are always so sweet and welcoming, and I try my best to bring friends by when I can. Today I brought my 6 year old nephew in and after a while we had him munching down! After never seeing Ethiopian cuisine in person before. The coffees are also amazing and the ice cream is absolutely delicious. I need to get a smoothie here because I KNOW they’re great, I usually just am always eating the savory food and hardly have room for even ice cream. I hope it stays here forever! West Philly Ethiopian spots have nothing on Cafe Almaz!

Truly delicious!
Veggie combo is healthy and filling. One order was enough for two hungry people, but we got a second just for the left overs!
