This place is fantastic. Great open air dining, sea breeze, bilingual waiters, great food both surf and turf. You need to put this restaurant on your list for any trip to Progreso.

Great service in a beautiful setting. Food was excellent with generous portion sizes. It is a large restaurant and good for big parties and even those with kids as there is a small but tasteful playground to keep them amused

Amazing food service and atmosphere. We had the tuna carnitas then stuffed chicken breast and sea bass. All flavourful. The sea bass was light and flaky. As this was sold by the gram my 600g portion was enormous however they packaged half of it and I had a lovely fish salad for lunch the next day. While this is close to the end of the malacon it is well worth the walk.

I had a late breakfast here this morning. Smoked pork egg and pickles onions in warm tacos. It was really good and the waiters…yes several…all looked after me. It was not cheap but was open air, on the beach and not too noisy. Children’s play area on the far side of the place. Definately would recommend it.

I very very rarely leave reviews, they essentially tried to hustle us for a “crab special” for valentines day, saying it would be 400 pesos for 2 big crab claws (was shown to us), then arrived with 4 tiny crab claws which we found strange because it wasnt what we asked for but we’re like okay cool, then they say it cost 1000$ pesos which is no where near what it should cost, thats practically montreal prices for the amount of food it was . I genuinely hate to complain but this was dishonest. My mom had 2 crab claws and I spoke with the manager about the situation and he took the remainder of the crab plate and said what my mom had was free, fair enough . As for the rest, ambiance is absolutely beautiful, food was mediocre 6.5/10 if im being fair. My girlfriend who is a Mexican native serving in the military agreed that this place is definitely not worthy of recommendation. I love everything about mexico, unfortunately this place didn’t represent it, food was mediocre and they we’re gouging with the crab situation which was my biggest issue. Be honest with the price and the amount and i have no issue. Sorry but this is the complete truth, maybe this doesnt represent everyones experience but was 1000% our experience.

The pulpo recova is very good. The rest of the food not so much. Do Not order the tacos. The tacos ensenado literally had zero fish in them. I mentioned this to the waiter in Spanish so he would understand and he laughed. For $325 pesos fish tacos should contain fish and not just salad. The portions are also very small. You can find better food further down the Malecón.

Beautiful beachside restaurant, atmospheric and priceless views. Kevin our server was the best and suggested a fabulous strawberry lime juice that I wish I could have every day! He was polite and perfectly attentive!
I would get the fish tacos again though as they were too heavily breaded.

Great place to wine and dine along the beach. The staff was fast, friendly and spoke decent English. I enjoyed the open air setting even though we showed up in a very windy day. However with good drinks and snacks we had a good time. The lobster tacos were delicious.
Can’t wait to return in a nice sunny day with minimal wind.

Beautiful restaurant with good food, excellent, friendly waiters, and right on the Malecon! Could not ask for more.
I have been back several times and still enjoy this restaurant even though the quality of the food has been inconsistent.
Tonight, though, I must post a warning. When asked about a tip, I told the waiter 15 percent, as he turned the machine away from me I saw him punch in 20 percent. I was not positive until later when I reviewed the final total on my receipt.

First off the, the pulpo (octopus) ranks up there with the best I’ve ever had (and I’ve been to Spain) and the atmosphere is great, on the boardwalk by the sea. My wife said her shrimp was “ok”. It’s very pricy though, the margaritas frankly felt like a ripoff which is why I deduct a couple of stars. My advice: if you like octopus get that with an Indio (beer) and go elsewhere for a your before/after dinner drinks.
