Named after the Wahlberg family matriarch, Alma, & her nine (nove) children, the restaurant features an eclectic menu of antipasti, specialty pastas, fresh off the boat seafood, & chops prepared on a wood-burning grill.

Great Dinner at Alma Nove in Hingham. Beautiful waterfront restaurant with awesome food. Our appetizer of homemade meatballs on a Crostini reminded me of my Nonna. The steak tenderloin was presented on a garlic mashed potatoes and was cooked to perfection. The service was outstanding. Our first time there and it will not be my last, I’m looking forward to going back again Chuck and Denise.

I came to eat on the evening of 3/28 and the atmosphere was beautiful, the service (from the hostess stand, to the server, to the server assistants) was awesome, and lastly the food was top notch!
My experience started off by walking in and being welcomed by 3 lovely ladies at the front and sat fairly quickly and smoothly. The woman who sat me was very sweet and welcoming. She made me feel like she truly cared and had such a warm smile.
My server (Kerri) came by shortly after I was sat and got the ball rolling for me. I came in already having studied the menu online and having a game plan besides which wine would be best with my duck. I let Kerri know off the bat what I was thinking, and she was so helpful with getting the right pairing underway and on my table once the duck was ready to come out.
I started with the mussels, and I loved every morsel of that dish. I would drink the sauce on its own, that’s how tasty it was.
Next was the duck and barley risotto, which I was super happy to see on the menu because that’s exactly what I prefer to cook at home. Once the duck was ready Kerri made sure my wine was brought to the table just before the duck made it over. It was a lovely Pinot noir and the duck was perfectly cooked. The mushroom espresso jam went deliciously with the flavor of the Pinot.
I also ordered a beet salad to go and that was perfect for my lunch the next day.
The chefs know how to pair flavors, and I will absolutely make a trip out there again to bring my momma with me ( we are from Ga)
The only thing that aggravated me slightly (which is NOT the fault of the restaurant) was the group of guys who sat at the bar and got very loud. It was odd to have that bar feel with a nice white tablecloth restaurant where people want to enjoy a nice evening. This wasn’t for my entire meal time by the way, it was a couple of times throughout the evening.
Bottom line Alma’s was a lovely evening with delicious food and top notch service and I can’t wait to come back!❤️

We had been there before after another funeral and had an amazing experience so I really wanted to go back there. The food selection and quality is superb, and it is a nice light and bright place.After a grim funeral. Bill was THE MAN! He was absolutely so gracious in professional. I was astounded at the quality of his professionalism. Wow!!! All my gratitude to bill and maggie for going out of their way to make our request possible when their restaurant was already jammed.

Went here for the first time New Year’s Eve.
It was very busy as expected. We waited for our server a little bit. Once she came everything went quite well.
Chicken dish and bolonase dish were very good. Desert was their own vanilla ice cream.
Everyone was friendly. It was a good experience. Will visit again.

I cant say we’ve experienced a better atmosphere of the sweetest and most professional staff from the Host station to the servers and bartenders not to mention the kitchen which pushes out some of the greatest food consistently since opening ! To meet and talk with Chef Paul Wahlberg is a pleasure in itself , just a great and extremely hard working guy with the best intentions !

Such a beautiful and comfortable place! My husband and I live in Buffalo, NY but any time we are within a couple hours of Alma Nove, we have to stop in. The food is always so delicious and the hospitality is truly top notch! We made a reservation and were running 5 mins behind so we called and the hostess was so delightful both in the phone and in person. Our waitress was personable, knowledgeable on the food and very prompt in taking care of our needs. Michelle stopped by our table and was so complimentary and just a lovely woman! We would come back even just to see her . My first time having octopus was in 2019 at Alma Nove and I’ve been thinking about it since so I had to start with that last night and it was even more delicious than I remembered! Also got the sweet potato gnocchi which was fresh and a creamy textural dream!! My husband got the stuffed pork special and raved about how delicious it was. I’m a big fan of Chef Paul Wahlburg and his staff and we can’t wait to come back in town and dine with them again! Highly recommend!!!

First time visiting, came here with friends who have a boat at the nearby marina and vouched for the quality of food. We were blown away – yes, the food was good… but the highlight truly was our server Mary Beth. She was an absolute delight, and incredible at the finer points of hospitality that really can’t be taught. She was so charming and on top of service and connection in a way that only comes from someone bright and experienced, as well as detail oriented. She went above & beyond for us, and we only wish we lived closer because we’d be regulars.
