We ate brunch at their other location so we wanted to try dinner here. The food was great, the server was awesome and the prices are good. We ordered the Chicharron and Mozzarella Pupusas to start. They were so good with the slaw on top. Then we ordered the Deep South chicken sandwich, the Bistec Encebollado and the Enchilada Hondurenas. We all shared the food and everyone loved everything we ordered. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely love this amazing restaurant! The staff are super sweet and welcoming especially Hudson! I go 1-2 times per month. The biscuits and gravy is a ridiculously delicious dish and their agua Frescas are homemade. You won’t regret visiting this place, I highly recommend making a reservation online.

Two entrees after taxes and tips was over $100. That is nowhere near the value provided by the flavor profile. The food was edible but overall a disappointment even without considering the astronomical prices.

I personally prefer a little spice so the Honduran food that utilizes a lot less spice than Mexican cuisine might not be as palatable to me. However, the place was completely empty on a Saturday during dinner time. So other people might agree the sentiment.

Thank you Alma for two delicious breakfast meals and a memorable way to start the new year with my fiance and travel back to NYC. The flour tortillas were hand made, the refried beans were better than my mom’s (that’s not easy to do). The eggs were cooked perfectly, topped with avacodo slices, and microgreens. Ask for the house made picante. I added a watermelon aqua fresca and could not be happier. Now, I just forgot the name of the dish so please don’t be shy to order it like I described it above, I’m including a picture too. Enjoy the authenic dishes, the friendly, professional staff, and the beautifully designed restaurant space. It will be our NOLA go to.

A much celebrated Honduran chef and owner, Melissa Araujo has developed an extensive menu for brunch and beyond. This is Honduran cuisine as a culinary art form. The flavors are unique and wonderfully crafted and the presentation is delightful. Loved it.

Alma is truly a neighborhood gem! Whether you’re coming in for brunch, lunch, or dinner, the quality and creativity of the dishes always shine through. Every plate feels carefully crafted, fresh, and full of flavor. The brunch menu is especially outstanding — definitely try the Pollo Chuco & The pastelitos de carne

Our server, Chrishawn, made the experience even better. They were attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and had such a warm, welcoming energy that made us feel right at home. You can really tell they care about making guests feel special.

I also had the pleasure of meeting Melissa, the owner, who clearly pours her heart into this place. Her passion for good food and genuine hospitality is what sets Alma apart. It’s no wonder the atmosphere feels so inviting — it’s a reflection of her vision and care.

If you haven’t been to Alma yet, you’re missing out. It’s the kind of spot where great food, great people, and a great vibe come together perfectly.

We had so much fun and such good food. Really delicious and next level takes on nostalgic Honduran staples. We had the brisket baleada – omg the beans!!! – and the pollo chuco. Both superb. Great drinks too – both the cocktails and the horchata. Finally the mango pastelito was the perfect dessert. Yum! Our server Kim was a blast too!
