A very nice restaurant with stuff who know what they are doing. The dining room was not full, but had a number of tables on the go. The two servers weaved around and got the food out to everyone without missing a step. Really nice to see that level of synergy between the servers and kitchen.
Food was very good, we had lobster rolls, me with a side of chowder. The scallops were very nice, with some smoked Salmon in the sauce. Being an experienced smoked food guy, this was a lovely addition to the dish.
Dining area was very clean and open. Definitely worth a look if you are in the area.

Alma Boathouse Restaurant is a must-visit gem, family-owned and run by incredibly welcoming, friendly folks who make you feel like part of the clan. The food is insanely good, with their famous lobster rolls stealing the show—packed with fresh, sweet lobster from the Bay of Fundy, served on a buttery bun or garlic toast, perfectly highlighting the pristine flavor. The chowder cup is another standout, a creamy, seafood-packed delight loaded with scallops, shrimp, fish, and clams in a rich, lobster bisque-infused broth that’s hearty yet light, often called the best in the Maritimes. Save room for dessert, because the strawberry rhubarb crisp is a tart-sweet masterpiece that ties the meal together beautifully. For a cozy, unforgettable dining experience, this place is perfection!

“This is the best seafood chowder I’ve ever had.”
– Brenda, my wife
She had the lobster roll with chowder & coleslaw ($29)
My son had the 2 piece fish n chip ($19) & I had the one piece F&C ($14).
Lobster roll was a of a generous serving & delicious.
The fish n chips were excellent. The batter on the fish was perfect, and serving size was massive. My bottomless pit teenager could not finish it.
The fries were fresh cut, fried to perfection. Even the slaw was somehow better than typical.
Def a “home-made” feel to the food here, and as you’d prob guess, I highly recommend this place. They offer good value for the meals here, but it’s the quality that’s why you should go.
(We would have tried the lobster Mac n cheese -$18- but they were sold out. Next time…)

we went here for lunch after a tour of Grand Manan Island. We order seafood chowder and lobster rolls. The chowder was very good but the lobster rolls lacked flavour and the buns were burnt. They didnt really seem to care much. Also we waited over 35 minutes for 2 sandwiches and two bowls of soup, which is crazy considering the soup was likely premade and just had to be ladeled into bowls.

I stopped in at Alma’s Boathouse and ordered a BLT with a cup of seafood chowder—and I have to say, it was hands down the best I’ve ever had. I’m not exaggerating one bit. The BLT came out stacked just right: crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, juicy tomato, and the bread… oh wow, the bread alone could have been its own meal. Perfectly toasted, fluffy inside, and full of flavor.
But the real star? That seafood chowder. Omg. Creamy, rich, full of fresh flavor, and packed with chunks of seafood that made every bite worth savoring. It’s one of those soups you wish you could take home by the gallon.
The atmosphere was cozy, service was friendly, and everything felt like it was made with care. I left full, happy, and already planning when I can come back. If you’re anywhere near Alma’s Boathouse, do yourself a favor and order the chowder. You won’t regret it.

What a great restaurant! We decided to try it out. Price was right for lobster rolls. They were so good we came back for more. DW had the lobster dip the second visit with homemade pita chips that were awesome. Lobster rolls were loaded not too much mayonnaise or spice for the full lobster flavor. Served on a New England hot dog and brushed with a lobster butter-the perfect vessel to hold this delicious creation! Service was perfect both visits. Added bonus they have hummingbird feeders on the windows so you can watch them feed. Nice seating area outside if the weather is good.

Amazing dinner outside (dog friendly, shady picnic tables!) w/ fabulous waitstaff and their recommendations were perfect! The muscles and lobster roll were delicious and my husband had the scallops and lobster poutine which was also amazing. The Pumphouse draft selection was on point, too! Highly recommend! 10/10

Great food and great service in a chill atmosphere—all at a great price. On two different occasions, I had the seafood linguine and the Fundy scallop linguine. Delicious and fresh.
Plenty of free parking in the public lot behind.

My partner and I stopped by here before going into the Bay of Fundy National Park! This was probably the best lobster roll I had on the entire East coast trip. We were so lucky to catch this place open. The service was lovely and we even got some recommendations on what to do in the park ☺️

Great place to eat seafood in the area, a cosy and welcoming restaurant for families and friends. As traveler, it is a great spot I totally recommend this place. Also, staff members are experienced enough to recommend you sightseeing places to visit around the area. I think some of the staff members are bilingual for French speaking people.
