An absolutely awesome meal from start to finish! We started our lunch with Devilish eggs, had the BBQ brisket and sucking pig lunch platters and finished with sour cherry pie and triple chocolate cream pie. The eggs were spectacular, the meats tender and the sides, greens, roasted root vegetables, smoked mashed potatoes, coleslaw and maple cornbread all equally excellent. The triple chocolate cream pie was the best have had. The coffee is even exceptional. Service was attentive, friendly and warm. I 100% will be back and bring others with me. The atmosphere is cute and warm too+

My partner and I had dinner here last night and it was the best meal I have had in years. We loved it. We have been wanting to eat sugar toads again for years and they are so hard to find. But we were amazed to see them on the menu here, they where delicious and very thoughtfully prepared with the guacamole bedding and greens with the glaze and fried green tomatoes everything came together beautifully! I was surprised to see fried green tomatoes this time of year. Also we LOVE West Virginia pepperoni rolls! They also had these on the menu that we could get as add-ons which we did and they were fantastic! We could taste how nice and smoky the pepperoni was and What tasted like fennel in it. We were surprised to see you that it came with a sauce as to our knowledge West Virginia pepperoni rolls are usually had room temp and without suace , but the way they served them with a tomato sauce and slightly warmed was a nice way to make them appropriate for a sit down restaurant. We also got the elderberry cream on top of a Fudgy brownie for dessert and that was delicious! Especially since you don’t see elderberry on menus very often. Our server was fantastic and so was all the servers in the dinning room, they worked together great and had fantastic attitudes and they was working hard because they were very very very busy. Although we didn’t need reservations And we didn’t have to wait to get a table they have plenty of tables. This restaurant is the best place to eat in all of the eastern panhandle of West Virginia and beyond honestly. My partner and I love visiting West Virginia but we have had absolutely no luck in finding any good places to eat, including in this town, until we found this gem! It’s literally the only place we will go out to eat at.

Fantastic restaurant with gracious staff. Worth the drive for anyone looking for classic West Virginia food or just wants an exciting menu. The deviled eggs, fried pickles, collards, trout, fried chicken, and the pies. Save room. The peanut butter mashed potato pie is ridiculous.

Absolutely a hidden gem. Completely unexpected find i stumbled upon. Happy hour 4-5pm ( bar only) dollar oysters and not the run of the mill trash, Maine sourced briny deep shell small flavorful. Wide array of entree options, smoked duck was fantastic. Was recommended the potato pie as desert “like a Reese’s cup and Oreo had a kid” and it absolutely delivered. Luke the bartender was engaging, personable and knowledgeable on the menu and recommendation. This is the first time I’ve ever felt the need to review a restaurant I was so pleasantly surprised. Made my week!

Loved it! Visited from Baltimore and had great service and excellent food. We had one member of our party who is vegetarian and gluten free and they made her something special and delicious. I loved the brisket, mac and cheese, and fried pickles. Will definitely be back!

One of the best restaurants we’ve eaten at. We will be making the trip back and won’t miss this spot again. We loved the food and I wish we had brought a cooler. They had a fridge with to go soups, etc.

Last year we had pretty good food, both the vegetarian and meat options were great. Drove quite a while to get some good food – utterly disappointed! I got shakshuka, which was extremely acidic, and had a fried egg on the side. I don’t recommend this place for vegetarians.

Our first time dining at Alma Bea’s and we pick NYE! Decor is nice, although busy it wasn’t too loud. Ordered apps: bang bang shrimp was so delicious as was the Appalachian chopped salad. The kitchen was backed up but I tell you what, the wait staff handled it with such grace. Complimentary small bites of two appetizers to keep us occupied with the wait. Rarely does an establishment go out of their way to accommodate a wait like this. It was appreciated. Dinner was the Steak Diane which was amazing. Thank you for such a nice experience…we will be back!
