Went here with my husband as a date night while it was still Stranger Things themed. We had a great time! Drinks were fantastic, food was fun (and on-theme!) and the waiter was knowledgeable. The themed guest book given to us with the check was a nice touch. The shot game was very fun, and the shot itself was well-mixed. A very fun date night! Not too expensive either, reasonably priced considering that the food/drinks had a novelty factor. We will for sure come back to see what else Allusion comes up with. You definitely should have a reservation, though, and for some, it may be confusing, since the actual bar is a speakeasy, and you have to go through a separate bar/restaurant to get to the Allusion door in the back. But not difficult if you know where to look, and the hostess was helpful.

This was my first time at Allusion and I absolutely loved it. All the Stranger Things decorations were fabulous, and the drinks were fantastic (the “I Call It a Weeder” was seriously one of the most delicious drinks I’ve had in a while). Solid loaded fries as well. Service was a bit slow but it was also a full house so no worries there. The vibes were awesome all around and I definitely want to visit for different themes in the future!

What an awesome, unique place. I’ve been twice with two different themes and it’s been a great experience both times. Max is hilarious. Aaliyah was a great bartender. The only oddity was they didn’t do a last call for drinks and some other patrons didn’t get drinks they put in 10+ minutes before 10pm.
The drinks are unique and go with the theme. I enjoyed what I tried.
The food menu is also themed for a handful of dishes. They also provide the full menu of the attached restaurant.
I’ll be back every time I’m in town!

This was SO much fun!! I’m rewatching Stranger Things (again) in preparation for the finale on Christmas and New Year’s Eve and I have to say, this place had all the right vibes! The drinks are fun and tasty, the food is yummy and the bartenders were so fun to chat with about the show and to share theories about how the show will end! We didn’t know we needed reservations and they still squeezed us in. I highly recommend Allusion Cocktail Bar for any fans and I hope they decide to do a Fallout theme soon!

I have been twice, once for Beetleguise and the other for Jurassic Park.
It is adorable.
I like the attention they spend to their plating, decor, and menu, but some of the drinks are not good and for our triple birthday event, our 60 y/o friend had to wait an hour for food, long after the rest of us were served.
He ordered a burger.
I wish servers played into the theme at all. It is fun and campy, but it could be even better if they fixed a few menu items and if the kitchen was a bit more organized.

We usually go to the Allusion’s on Powers but we had reason to be downtown and thought we would try the downtown version. Current theme is Jurassic Park and, as usual, they did not disappoint. Drinks were creative and boozy, the bartenders gave us great service, and the atmosphere is definitely up to Allusion’s standards. The two bars (downtown and powers) seem to be about the same size, just different floor layouts. Reservations definitely recommended!

Upon first arrival we were greeted by the hostess who was not friendly very passive aggressive had an attitude over a simple reservation mistake. Our friend booked 2 we were a party of 3. We understood why reservation seating is importing but She set “expectations” for us and when going out to a business you don’t expect to be scolded. After making us wait for a while She sat us down as a favor from the manager. 2 other groups showed up much later but I didn’t see why she made such an issue for a slow night other tables remained empty. The server Dillan was amazing. The aesthetic of the place amazing as well. The food was okay but drinks were great. As a business owner myself I was disappointed with how we were treated at the beginning of the evening and kind of set the tone for the night of disgust. I did convey to her she should do better but it came with her doubling down on why she was disrespectful. We spent about 280 I would expect to be treated better at an establishment especially one that is casual.

Great drinks, for the most part. The cheaper ‘roll the dice’ drinks were VERY weak. I won’t complain about the crazy cocktail prices, because that’s normal everywhere these days.
Even better service. I wish I can remember our server’s name, but young man was top notch. Observing the bartender, you could tell he was wonderful as well.
The atmosphere, awesome of course. They put a lot of work into it, and it’s probably the main reason people come here.
The food, unfortunately so terrible that it almost made me forget about everything else good about this place. We had 4 items. Even though almost everything was well presented, the only thing that actually tasted good were the french fries that came with the sandwich.
One of the food items was some sort of burnt ends. At first we were told they were out. Server came back after we had already ordered other items and told us that they were available. When they were brought out, they were so terrible looking and inedible. It seemed they scraped the bottom of the pan to be able to fill up a serving dish. This is the part I hope Allusions management reads: this item was offered at no charge. We were already perfectly okay that the restaurant was out of an item. Why on Earth would the kitchen be okay with sending out such an awful dish, and why would the server be okay with bringing that to a table, even considering that you’re not charging for it? Everything was better off when you told me you were out. Now I know that you’re willing to put out bag product.
TL;DR Go for the atmosphere and the drinks, stay away from the food.

This place is amazing! We went to both the brunch and in the evening for cocktails. The atmosphere is amazing and the staff is awsome. Our server for brunch was Justin and evening was Whitney, they made our experience one of the best we have had. This place is absolutely amazing and I can’t wait for August when I come back to the area for the next theme.

I LOVE themed cocktail bars. I was so excited to try this place, theme was on point and staff were super nice. However the drinks are a bit steeply priced for how mediocre they were. The person waiting on us didn’t really know anything about the drinks or how to explain them even if you don’t drink that’s part of your job. I ordered the Appley ever after and you couldn’t taste anything that was in the drink. It just tasted like an apple orchard on ice. And the donkey punch was good probably the best one but kinda just a glorified jalapeño margarita with less flavor .. During the Shrek theme.. we also ordered and the halibut cheeks, french fries and the steak bites. The halibut cheeks were sent back because they were completely overcooked and super chewy and fishy. I know what halibut taste like ( I’m from AK) and that wasn’t it. The french fries were bomb but not very hot and the steak bites were okay, good flavor but just poor quality. Again the quality to price ratio was just mediocre, kinda overpriced if you ask me. Came on a Sunday night and it wasn’t busy at all. Atmosphere was so fun and definitely will come back just probably wouldn’t eat there again.
