Went in for a late valentines dinner and had a wonderful time. The building itself is beautiful inside and out. The service was amazing, and being in the industry I always appreciate good service. We got Calamari and Caprese for appetizers and such great dishes to start off our night. Victor Weldon first suggested an amazing wine to pair with our food, and then took us on a tour of the building and I can’t wait for summer to come. The outside seating area is going to be such a great spot to do dinner with a beautiful view of the city. Overall had a great time and will be back.

We were surprisingly disappointed with our experience after hearing good things. Our medium rare ribeye steak came out raw/dark purple in the center. It was difficult to cut with the butter knife, typically places will bring you a steak knife if you order a steak. We ended up taking it home to cook more, for steak/eggs the next day. The bread service and pasta (pistachio) were fantastic. The server we had seemed nice, but overly casual and unpolished. We eat out quite a bit. For a place like this, I’d expect a little more professionalism, politeness, and some menu knowledge from the server rather than “I couldn’t tell you, up to you” which we heard 3 different times from our guy. The setting is unique and very cool. The 2-top tables are very close together however, we had to scoot our table to be almost touching the table next to us in order to squeeze out for the bathroom (thin 120lb person), and then scoot it back. They have a strong menu, and a great space. For a $250 dinner/drinks for 2, I’d expect a “tighter ship” compared to other staples in the city. They boxed up our fat trimmings from the steak along with the leftovers, which gave us a laugh. If they can tidy a few things up and provide a more consistent experience it could be something worth going back to. We give it a 5/10 from our visit.

Great pasta!! There is a window in one of the dining areas where you can watch them make it. the drinks were also amazing. This is our first time at this location since they’ve been closed for a while and it is so beautiful inside!

Great spot for anniversary or celebrating something fun. It’s right in the middle of Mount Adams so you have a beautiful view of the city.

The clam linguine and pork jowl pastas were top notch, 10/10. The “bread service”, why is it so good? Seriously, the bread could be a meal alone. Friendly and knowledgeable service. Great lavender lemonade mocktail. “Real” tiramisu too! Will definitely return soon.

This place is fantastic! Food was divine. Our server – Becky was wonderful. We wanted recommendations and she had them! We needed a little help on deciding our wine, and she brought over the manager. I wish I remembered his name, but he was very helpful. The wine matched our food beautifully. The owner came over and greeted us- such a nice gentleman! The atmosphere was lovely. I can’t WAIT to go back!!

If you’re looking for a cozy go-to dinner spot for any occasion, Al Lupo is the place for you.
I started with an Al Lupo sour and was blown away. Perfectly creamy and decadent with a subtle tartness. I do wish I would have saved it for the end due to the sweetness, but I enjoyed it all the same. The calamari was melt in your mouth delicious with a nice zingy marinara to dip.
The pistachio pesto pasta was unbelievable. I could not put my fork down.
The staff was kind, attentive and very down to earth.
Incredible atmosphere in the Rookwood Pottery building as a fun piece of Cincinnati history.
This will definitely be my new pick when I want something high end while still providing comforting warm vibes.

New restaurant to try & went with larger party. Been to that location when it was another restaurant so knew the atmosphere was great. Food was very good. There octopus & short rib were a hit! Waitress was so good to us.

Absolutely incredible. Easily the best restaurant in Cincinnati right now. Pro tip: Get bread service and save some to dip into your Cacciucco. You want the best version of a classic? Get the Buccatini Carbonara. You want something comforting and familiar? The Lasagne is to die for. You want to try something fresh and new? You HAVE to get the Paccheri con Pistacchi. Anywhere else I would pass on the pork chop, not here, the Iberian Tomahawk: Braciola Di Maiale is perfection. From the surprisingly bright and refreshing pickled asparagus and arugula Asparagi Insalate or the earthy goodness of a Funghi Pizza to the decadent chocolate mousse or lemon ricotta cake to the Al Lupo spin on classic cocktails, this menu hits from start to finish. You really can’t go wrong.

We were blown away by the whole experience! We have lived in Cincinnati since 2018, and this is the best meal we’ve had! The entire staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere and meal preparation reminded us of The French Laundry! Our server, James, made the best recommendations! We can’t wait to go back!
