Allred Bites & Bar was truly one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we walked in, everything felt just right—the vibe was relaxed and chill, the décor was modern, clean, and beautiful, and the ocean view was nothing short of breathtaking. Watching the waves while enjoying such incredible food made the experience unforgettable. We had a party of 9.
Our server, Allí C, deserves special recognition. She is hands-down the best server we have ever had at any restaurant. Her personality was warm, friendly, and genuine; she was incredibly helpful with ordering, patient, prompt, and attentive without ever being overbearing. She made us feel welcome and taken care of from start to finish—an absolute gem.
The food? Simply phenomenal. We ordered a wide variety, including deviled eggs, steak tacos, chicken dishes, enchiladas, mushrooms, chicken and fish tacos, tenderloin tips, stuffed prawns, and an incredible lineup of desserts—chocolate pots de crème, peanut butter parfait, and more. This was my third time going here since they opened, and it was wonderful. I’ve always thought the drinks and desserts were great, but the food was a little lacking- but this time, it was much more in line with their vision and it was so yummy. The views, comfy chairs, and ambience make it a dream place to meet up with friends or enjoy a romantic night with your loved one. The staff is amazing. You all should be very proud of what you’re building and providing for Newport. Super classy. Thank you & see you again.

This bar has a nice modern, upscale atmosphere. The views of the ocean are spectacular and there’s plenty of comfortable seating which is something that often gets overlooked. During my weekend stay I mostly enjoyed the large selection of delicious and well crafted cocktails. This is definitely my new go-to bar in Newport.

There food was really good, there service was amazing they offered a free dessert for my birthday. Watching the bartender put together some of the drinks where good. The atmosphere was very nice. The bathroom (mens) was clean and smelt good, it was a bit warmer then the outside sitting area but not to big of a deal. Generally it was a very nice experience.

We loved our room but the highlight of our stay here was the food! The prices were very fair and allowed us to kind of splurge and order several dishes and every single item was top notch! We ordered pick up to have in our room, was ready in less than 15 minutes and the presentation, packaging, temperatures and taste was spot on. The crab ravioli was the agreed favorite. Definitely will be back!

This is the true gem of the remodel, re-branding from The Whaler to the Allred. The addition of a restaurant and bar is such a great addition and the fact that its drinks and menu are tasty makes it the star. The service from the staff was fantastic. We liked it so much that we ate there twice in our 3 night visit. I like that all of the dishes are “sharing” size as we couldn’t decide. The first night we shared some of the appetizers and the “handhelds” and the 2nd night 3 of the “fork and knife” entrees and both times it was the perfect amount for 2 adults . Great special cocktail menu and excellent bar choices. The ambience is also what makes the Allred Bites a great addition to the Nye Beach area. Stunning 2 story windows for views of the sunset, outdoor area with gas fire pits and an 2nd floor rotunda with large family tables all done in really upscale fabrics and materials.
Even if you’re not staying at the hotel, make your way over to this new and exciting addition to the Nye Beach scene. Oh, and being open until 10pm is a huge plus as well.
