A perfect place for Valentines Day dinner or any time you want to treat yourself to a night out with yummy food, exceptionally delicious cocktails, and phenomenal service! Although a formal dining establishment the service is very friendly and makes everyone feel important- service is very fast and efficient as well! I recommend trying their prime rib night on saturdays or the fish night on fridays! The prime rib and salmon is exceptionally delicious and excellent, the price is right for the incredible quality of the food also and get perfect portion sizes for dinner. Thank you for the out of this world service + food, alloro! This is a total hidden gem amazing restaurant I’m so thrilled I have now found, literally the best restaurant inside a hotel by far! 5 stars and eager to go back as soon as I can! The atmosphere is also nice and peaceful making me want to sit down and just relax and enjoy my food! Couldn’t ask for anything better 🙂

Ive been here several times (mostly for the saturday prime rib) and have always left very happy. The food is great, has good flavor and is plated well but what really stands out is the service. went for Vday dinner and although it was a little busy we never felt unimportant or looked over. We had multiple servers come to us making sure we were taken care of while at the same time they knew when to let us have our privacy and eat without being interrupted while having a mouth full of food. Honestly that goes a long way in this review. so many places dont think twice to wait until you are in the middle of a conversation to interupt to see if you need a refill, this place actually knows to wait until exactly the right time. the food came out fast and was amazing. i wouldnt hesitate recommending the Alloro to my friends and I have done so several times.

We didn’t have any family to get together with on Christmas day so we decided to go out for dinner and a movie. We chose to go to Alloro D.O.C. because we had been there a few times before and really enjoyed it. The food was great, but the service was terrible, even though they weren’t busy. We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation, and waited by the hostess stand. The bartender said someone would be with us in a few minutes. We waited over 10 minutes and no one came. He spoke to us again and said that he told somebody we were there and somebody would be over soon. They still didn’t come. When someone finally came, they asked us how many were in our party and they also asked the people behind us in line how many were in their party. We said two. They said four. And then they proceeded to take the people that were behind us in line, telling us they’d be back for us in a minute but they didn’t come back. The bartender told us we could wait at the bar if we wanted to so we sat at the bar. When he came over to wait on us, we told him that we had a reservation. He told us if we had a reservation we had to go wait by the hostess stand. By the time someone finally came to seat us, we had been waiting for 20 minutes – 15 minutes past our reservation time. After we were seated, it was another 5 minutes before they came to take our order, and another 5 minutes before they even gave us a glass of water. The food came in a reasonable amount of time and was very good, but the waitress never checked on us to see if we needed anything until it was time to ask if we wanted dessert. After dessert, we waited another 15 minutes, and she never brought us the bill so we had to go into the bar and ask for it. We will never go back there to eat again.

Update 4/29/2023. We dined at Alloro again last night at the invitation of the Food and Beverage Manager. I had a pleasant conversation with Darin about our previous dining experience. He proceeded to invite us to return to try again. I’ll say now that this is why I am loyal to the Hilton brand — because they take ownership of mistakes and try to make things right when they sometimes go wrong. This is a perfect example of the Hilton commitment to superior and responsive service.
Anyway, we had the chicken wings (again) for an appetizer, as well as the salmon and short rib pasta for the main course. Everything was excellent. From the taste and temperature of the food to the attentive service, the Alloro gang did an excellent job. Working in a restaurant is not an easy gig and I appreciate their efforts and commitment to continual improvement.

They should rename this restaurant the “Charles Dickens” — because depending on the day, the time, and maybe the direction of the wind blowing outside — you could enjoy an excellent meal (the best of times) or you could enjoy an awful meal (the worst of times). We recently spent two nights at the Hilton Tucson East and we sampled Alloro DOC a few times to sample different menu items. So, here is our Charles Dickens experience.
The Best of Times. The serving staff in the front of the house is excellent. They are attentive, they care, and they did a great job. The restaurant is nicely designed and is generally a pleasant place to hang out in.
The best menu item of our visit, by far, was the Mahi Mahi Piccata. The fish was cooked perfectly, the risotto was very flavorful, and the piccata sauce was perfect. It is a delectable dish that I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys fish and piccata.
Other menu items that we found quite good included the chicken wings and the caprese salad.
Also, the medium-rare prime rib special with the horseradish sauce, as well as the sausage and pepper pizza, were respectable.
Menu items that were pretty average include the chicken quesadilla. The amount of chicken and cheese was good, but the overall flavor was oddly bland.
The Worst of Times. We’ve been to this restaurant before and noticed the variable quality of the food. Well, it happened yet again. An order of the shrimp tacos came out that was, shall we say, loaded with cheese, lacking in shrimp, and …. cold. I say it again, the tacos were cold.
The kitchen then proceeded to dump the tacos in the microwave and they came out a few minutes later. However, now the over-cheesed tacos are mushy and unmanageable. Back they go. On the third try, which we were told were freshly made, they were yet again cold and yet again mostly cheese. The few, small shrimp present were either mushy or half-frozen. Fail!
So, kitchen staff and management, take notice. You have a food consistency problem. This is a correctable issue, but one that has not been addressed for at least a couple of years now. Fix this, and you will have an excellent establishment that people will want to visit and enjoy a great meal.

We come here for the Prime rib special which is always excellent. Reason for a lower scale star review is they got rid of the Alfredo which is a go to here. Would like another pasta option besides pesto for the kids. Great service!

Located inside of Hilton Tucson East. We were staying here and decided to try the food for dinner. Very nice environment. It was pretty quiet all in all until the drinkers showed up. Then one of the bartenders and some patrons started yelling to each other about sports. The other bartender had a scowl on her face the entire time. Our waitress was awful. Couldn’t hardly get her to come by. She was always in the back of the restaurant or leaving. After dinner we even saw her outside. The food was pretty good. Mine was anyway. I ordered the pappardelle and short rib. The pasta noodles were very good. Not gummy, sticky, or overcooked. The cream sauce with the gorgonzola made a great combination! The meat was so tender. I did have to add a little salt, but it was very good. My husband ordered spaghetti with meatballs and a side salad. The champagne dressing was different, very light, but good. The spaghetti and meatballs were absolute trash! The meatballs were totally mushy and gross, as if they had been boiling and steaming then frozen and thawed out several times. The spaghetti and sauce definitely was not quality either. The noodles were very overcooked and mushy. I would not recommend ordering that. I would come back to try some of the other things on their menu. Hopefully the service would be better. Also expect to pay about $20 or more per person, not including drinks or tip.

The restaurant only offers a very average buffet for breakfast. Servers were extremely understaffed and overwhelmed. Servers are very pleasant in spite of an impossible job.

Chef John made a Mahi Mahi Piccata this evening that was SO DELICIOUS and so beautifully layered in flavor and texture that it damn near brought me to tears!!! It was literally the best dish I have tasted in 2023. I HAD TO MEET HIM AND HUG him for sharing this experience of this meal because it pleased my spirit so much! Please never let this chef go, as he brought joy to my existence today. I kid you not, I felt that risotto in my soul. Eating this meal was akin to a blind person given the gift of sight or a newborn mother holding her child for the first time. I never expected to have my taste buds blown away from an unassuming hotel in Tuscon, but I did today. Thank you!!!
The tuna tartare was fantastic as well

Premium prices for trash food. Their “homemade” alfredo was out of a jar. It had a pasty, thick, tasteless consistency. The ribeye looked like one of the bargain, thin-cut steaks from the grocery store. Asked for medium, was well done and a lovely shade of grey on the bottom. The tomatoes in the caprese were the best part of the meal. $110.00 for pasty pasta, boiled steak, a salad, and 2 teas. Go to Culver’s in the parking lot for a better meal.
