From the food, to the service, to the atmosphere. There is not just one person who helps you, but multiple people checking in. We were even visited by the chef at the end of our meal to ask how our food was. Just amazing all around. We can’t wait to go back! I ordered the short rib, fettuccine lobster/shrimp, beet salad, pear torta. Wifey ordered the squid, parmesan risotto, scallops, lemon curd. All was amazing, but we liked all my choices a little more. There was also something that was brought out, complimentary, but I forget the name of it, but it was great and we had a palate cleanser in between one of the courses. It was our anniversary, so they gave us two glasses of prosecco, which was awesome. I also ordered a pecan old fashion that was amazing. Oh yeah- make a reservation! If you don’t, I would suggest to get there really early. So you can possibly have a seat at the bar which is also an amazing seat.So you can watch the bartenders, make amazing drinks and you can see a window to the right, showing the chefs at work. So glad we checked this place out! We already have a date to come back!
The octopus antipasti is a must have. I wish that the black cod was seasoned a little more.
I got the 4 course menu, and left extremely full. I can’t imagine the 5 course menu.
Chris was the definition of professional: attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without feeling rehearsed, and genuinely warm in a way that elevated the entire experience. He anticipated needs before we even voiced them and guided us through the menu and wine pairings with true expertise.
It’s rare to find someone who enhances a meal the way Chris did. If you’re dining at Allora, do yourself a favor and ask for him. He made an already special night even better.
Highly recommend, both the restaurant and especially Chris.
Allora is an extraordinary dining experience that truly sets the standard for fine dining in Sacramento. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance felt elegant, intimate, and thoughtfully curated — perfect for a special evening out.
The service was impeccable. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate about the menu, guiding us through each course with genuine enthusiasm and care.
The food was absolutely exceptional. Every dish was beautifully presented and showcased refined technique, seasonal ingredients, and perfectly balanced flavors. The tasting menu felt like a culinary journey, with each course building seamlessly on the last. The wine pairings were expertly selected and elevated the entire experience.
