My husband & I decided to come to allman’s last night for dinner & we were glad we did! The food was GREAT! We had the BBQ sandwich platters with 2 sides & everything was really good. Our server Joanna was super attentive & even asked us what part of the brownie we wanted when we got dessert. Excellent food & customer service. Thank you also to the lady who brought our food out & got us some coleslaw for our sandwich. Keep l up the good work . We will see you soon!

In a fleeting moment of stillness on our whirlwind of a journey, we found ourselves at a quaint, undiscovered bbq stop that left our stomachs full and our hearts fuller. We enjoyed friendly banter with the mischevious woman behind the counter, who chooses kissing and freedom. We went horizontal with Adam (don’t ask him his middle name) and friendships like that don’t come around often. The meat platter was dusted and the bathroom was graced. Fabulous

Born and raised in KC, then lived in Texas for 20 years, so I’m a bit of a BBQ snob. Allmans BBQ is honestly a great place that has good everything. I say that because we tried just about everything being it was our first time here. Maybe the fries are just ok but literally everything else was amazing food wise.
Staff? Oh yeah, top notch. Attentive, quick to get things and just overall an awesome experience. I am fully on board with this spot.

My fiance and I were shopping around for a caterer for our wedding, so we decided to stop in and try it before we made up our minds- and we’re happy to say that they exceeded our expectations! Their meat & side platters are amazing options if you’d like to try a variety of what Allman’s is all about (make sure to get their cornbread and brisket options) which will heartily feed two. We decided we’ll be back for dessert next time and that we’re happily choosing our caterer for our wedding!

I came to this restaurant 24 minutes after opening and ordered half a rack of ribs.
I live 5 minutes away just for context… The ribs were dry as leather and they were cold/Luke warm wrapped in foil. I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND this place if you want bbq.
The meat looked like it was cooked and left out the day before.
Only good thing was the service the Mac n cheese was regular n the slaw was good….
NEVER AGAIN…. Specially not for 30 dollars

Allman’s BBQ is always a must when I’m back in Virginia from Florida—it’s one of my favorite places to eat! This time I had the Allman’s Platter with brisket, baked beans, and coleslaw. The brisket was tender and smoky, the beans were hearty and full of flavor, and the slaw was fresh and crisp. Great food, great tradition. It just feels like home every time I visit.

This Northern VA BBQ hotspot has been at the top of several VA BBQ lists for several years running. Having been around since 1949, it is decidedly local and has that vibe without question. Super casual. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Full service with a smile – pay at the counter after the meal. I did the meats (chopped brisket) +3 with baked beans, mac and cheese, and the stew. The chopped brisket was moist and full of smoky flavor. The mac is unique with huge noodles and a nice cheese sauce and the stew was simply amazing – Brunswick style – just excellent on a cold day. I also went with the bread pudding – hot, gooey, cinnamon roll pieces – almost monkey bread style – really good. The prices were very reasonable and the portions were huge. Pretty easy to see why they were at the top end of some of those lists.

My sister and I stopped here while in Fredericksburg thrifting. We were headed to a store and passed this place and our noses and bellies prompted us to stop. The food was amazing! We got the sampler with brisket , ribs and pork bbq and I had banana pudding for dessert. Robin who served us was A-1 and we felt so welcomed. We will be returning!
