Wow! If I could give 10 stars, I would easily do so. The restaurant is small but what it lacks in size, it makes up in attention to detail, and an amazing dining experience. Reservations are highly recommended in order to get yourself a table. As soon as we got in, we were greeted and seated. Our server did a wonderful job of explaining the menu and answering questions. We started with the sourdough bread which is made on the premises (very good), served with a brown butter. It was served warm and was delicious. For our appetizer round we shared the pork belly. It was decadent! For our entrees my girlfriend had the duck and I had the elk. Both fishes were outstanding. This was the first time I had elk and it was so tender and flavorful. My girlfriend enjoyed her duck as well. Each enter was played beautifully. For the dessert round we shared a rhubarb tart and it was different but so good. Everyone from the staff was attentive and friendly ensuring our dining experience was top notch. We will be back.

ALLIUM Eatery was absolutely amazing. A completely unique menu with palate pleasing, unique dishes. We started with a “smokey the pear” and ” Immunity boost” cocktail…..both delicious! Followed that up with Dew drop cabbage with chicken and a Pork Ciabatta sandwich. Again… out of this world.
We were very full but could not pass up the Rhubarb Torte….woo hoo!!!
Don’t miss this one… I’ve been told the dinner menus are even better.
Small place so if you go for dinner and make sure you make a reservation!

Arguably one of the best restaurants in Westport. And yet, kind of a secret. The fare is sophisticated but not precious and the service is exactly right. Cozy bar and inventive cocktail list. A not small part of the picture is how the place feels: It’s an intimate space in a 19th century building with an exposed cast-in-place joist and floor system overhead that makes you think you might be in Portland, Maine or Portsmouth, NH. In a town that is seemingly committed to putting its historic built environment in a landfill, Allium’s ambiance is a welcome tonic.

Wonderful dining experience in every way. A perfect combination of upscale delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere. I think this is the first restaurant I have eaten at that requires the entire order at once that I have been happy with the pacing of the meal. Never felt rushed and there was a perfect amount of time between each course. Started with Simon’s bread with beet butter. Crusty dense bread with great flavor and the butter was delicious. Asparagus soup was so light but you got a hint of asparagus in every bite. The addition of the scallops made it luxurious. The pork belly I think was the best I have ever had. So perfectly cooked and not greasy at all. The duck duo was cooked well and flavorful, the dumpling took it over the top, delicious . The steak was also delicious but cooked a little under for me. Carrot cake was great. There were no raisins in the cake ( my preference) but there were plump soft raisins on top so you could have it either way. The special dessert was pineapple cookies and sauce. Absolutely cannot describe it with justice but it was delicious, the pineapple was warm and very soft in flavor, not tangy. I think my only disappointment was the immunity boost cocktail. I was expecting a gingery spice in the flavor but it tasted like a regular margarita. A good margarita but not what I expected. I highly recommend this restaurant and can’t wait to return to try more options.

Allium is our go-to for date night and family dinner. It’s a guaranteed delicious meal made from farm-fresh ingredients, beautifully curated and thoughtfully prepared. And the service is impeccable. Tonight my husband and I enjoyed the zucchini blossoms, bison tartare and lamb belly to start, with a crisp Sancerre, followed by halibut and a gorgeous vegetarian entree. I’m including a photo of the menu so you can read all ingredients. Also including a photo of a juicy Pinot Noir recommenced by our server. Allium is the most consistently delectable restaurant we’ve found in Westport. Highly highly recommend.

Talk about an amazing restaurant. Top 3 in Westport without question. The creativity of the dishes, the presentation, and the execution is top notch. Perfect spot for a date night with a well curated wine list.

What a treat! Loved the ambience, service and creative but not pretentious foods. Everything just worked. Particular stand outs included the al dante beet salad with whipped chèvre and a salty crunch on top, the bay scallop crudo and the lamb shank, the latter two literally melted in our mouths. We found the lemon meringue tart to be too sweet for our taste and the carrot cake so so but the roasted pineapple crumble was perfection! The wines were good and the music and vibe was upbeat and cozy. It’s fairly pricey, even for Westport/NY standards but not off the charts. Great for a special night out.

I loved my dinner experience at Allium! The food was incredibly delicious. The duck dish was one of the best I’ve had, and the foie gras tart was divine. I couldn’t stop thinking about the Meyer lemon meringue all weekend!

Went for lunch with my wife and had high expectations. We tried the chicken pot pie which looked delicious but have little flavor. The chicken sandwich was a disappointment – again not much flavor. All was fairly bland. Service was good and friendly. Atmosphere was cute but tight.

Allium is my new favorite restaurant in Westport! Although there were multiple ingredients on their menu that I had to google, they managed to create dishes that were elegant and finessed without feeling pretentious.
The pork belly appetizer was an impeccable experience: crispy exterior, tender and fatty interior, a hint of warmth from the spices, a dash of sweetness from the honey, a splash of acidity from the pluot (plum-like fruit) — It was a perfect harmony over a bed of hearty cranberry beans.
The halibut and summer squash entrees were fresh, mild, and well-balanced. We probably would have preferred to order two appetizers and share one entree, but there is a $10 charge to split entrees. This is stated on the menu, which is was thoughtful of them. Some restaurants will sneakily charge you on the bill.
I wasn’t as impressed by the crudités and dip as I had hoped given the way they source their ingredients. I thought the raw veggies were sort of average, and the ratio of dip to veg was too large. (Too much dip, not enough veg)
Overall, this spot is a gem. The service is great, the decor is intimate, and even the china is really beautiful. It surprised me how much the antique-like plates and silverware enhanced the meal for me!
