A beautiful scenic drive from Greenwood to Altus and well worth it! The service was exceptional and the food even better! Everyone at our table had a different entree and not one complaint. Our group of 9 ordered smoked boudin, alligator soup, crawfish bisque, dirty rice, crab stuffed mushrooms, Cajun pasta, sausage pizza, redfish, seafood Mac and cheese and everything was perfectly cooked. Our waitress was incredible and offered suggestions and answered questions. I highly recommend and will definitely return to try more menu items.

ALLIGATOR RAYS IN DOWNTOWN ALTUS ARKANSAS!!!
You can’t miss it , big red building on the square.
WOW the food , service , and atmosphere are top shelf here.
Their cuisine rivals what I’ve had in bigger cities and the workers are much more friendly.
We started out with the stuffed mushrooms and an order of oysters, followed by by a main course of red fish for me and tomahawk pork chops for friend.
Finished off with turtle cheese cake desert and beignets for friend.
It was a great treat for me .Our waiter was Brandon. His service was on point, professional, and upbeat.
He served really good martinis on a hot summer day.
Go there it is worth the drive!

Loved the experience here. We found ourselves here on a slow week night, but I could tell that this place gets pretty busy! Let’s start with the food: Of course We had to try the gator bites and they didn’t disappoint—lightly breaded and mildly seasoned so the gator could shine. The boudin is really good. Has a nice Smokey exterior while the inside is packed with Cajun flavor. Mardi Gras pasta is great, too. Wasn’t a fan of the pasta choice (tri-colored pasta gave me pasta salad vibes), but that’s just me and it wouldn’t stop me from ordering it again. I was so excited to dig in, I completely forgot to take pics of the food! Fail on my part, smh! The service was top notch and everyone was super friendly and helpful. Alligator Ray’s is definitely worth the stop!

Very friendly and food was really good. I had blackened shrimp po boy, and daughter had cajun pasta with chicken, crawfish, and shrimp in it. We had alligator bites for an app. They were very tender.

An absolute jewel. Heard about this from a friends and never knew there was a restaurant with such amazing food located in altus Arkansas. One of the greatest locations for a date night I’ve ever seen. Right across from a playground that has memorials for coal miners and veterans. Not too far away is the museum for altus. Located in the old downtown area. I 100% recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for a good place for good food and sampling the local brews.

While driving through, I came across this little gem. When we arrived, the place was full, but we were able to find seating at the bar. The waitress was very courteous and took good care of us even with the crowd. They had trivia on a couple of tvs you could join into. This was a great way to pass the time and helped spark casual conversations.
We ordered the stuffed mushrooms and the house specialty, the chicken, crawdad, and shrimp pie. Both were very tasty and came out hot. The stuffing in the mushrooms was a bit undercooked, but not enough the takeaway from the dish. The pie was on point and was extremely filling, and considering the quantity of the toppings, the price point was very reasonable.
If you’re passing through on the interstate and looking for a great meal and friendly atmosphere, definitely take the short detour. You won’t regret it.

The waitress was very friendly, the atmosphere was great, the Louisiana pasta was really great. 5 stars. It was very nice, the chef even came to our table and chat with us, the seafood was fresh. I thought I was close to the ocean.

We don’t deserve food like this!!! They got it going on. Everything we ate was just amazing! I’m hooked on that Bayou Deluxe pizza. Had them add the alligator to it & I have to say was the best pizza I’ve ever had! We will be back. I could go on & on about the food but I’d say just go find out for yourself. Worth it!

Wow! Such a surprise find. For such a tiny town, this was a huge win! If you haven’t been here… GO! You won’t be disappointed.
The alligator bites were light, soft & perfectly cooked, the salad was fresh, the blackened salmon had amazing flavor and was cooked to perfection… & the topper at the end was a well crafted pumpkin cheesecake! (My coworker ordered the blacked redfish & it was also fantastic!!)
Also, our waitress was excellent.
Highly recommend this place if you’re in or around Ozark, AR
