Been here several times. Food is great, drinks are solid, atmosphere is homey and what you expect. Service is less than desired. They are friendly but it takes 7 years to get my order taken or my drinks refreshed. Always feel ignored even sitting at the bar. They prioritize regulars far too much over new customers to the point that it’s hard to become a regular. But I will keep coming back, mostly for convenience.

I had no idea this place existed and my family has lived right down the street for over a decade. Really good food, our waitress was really nice and recommended we get the whole smoked chicken. The daily specials are really good, we came on Monday which is bbq/smoked meats day. The fries were really crispy. They also had trivia that day- didn’t play but it sounded like fun. Overall I recommend!

I truly don’t understand how this establishment has four stars. This is probably my second or third review I’m not sure. You best believe my review is accurate I’m quite candid and try to not leave a BAD review. Here I go though: Alley Pub’s food is very inconsistent. I order take out quite often the very first visit was excellent taco Tuesday had tacos husband ordered the dry meat French dip. We dined in. Next time, I ordered a pizza it was good, the next two pizzas that were ordered were just sloppy with toppings just thrown on it, too much cheese just a mess. I’ve had catfish, a few years ago, it was really catfish, what they sell now is NOT catfish. The BBQ is mediocre a bit dry. BLT the lettuce and tomato tastes old and left out all night, bacon was old and crumbly. Finally, anything fried will be soggy and cold, especially fries and onion rings. The cooks are not going to vent the styrofoam containers. The bar team and order takers, waitresses are polite, but I’m not going to order anymore take out or dine in until they get some consistency, leadership and training in that kitchen. The majority of what I order is usually thrown out and I end up still hungry and have wasted money.

The cook, I forgot to get his name, made the best pizza I have ever eaten in my life. I ordered the supreme pizza and Randall’s Cajun Pasta after the gentleman sitting by the door recommended the pasta. He said it was heavenly. I was in a hurry and he brought out my food exactly when I told him I needed to leave. He’s the best! Sooo cute too! The food is ah-mazing. You know when you can tell the person who made your food cared about it? This guy puts his heart into it. Love the interior. Atmosphere was perfect for stepping out for food and drinks.

This is a great neighborhood bar. It’s hard to find the first go-around, but you’ll never forget it once you’ve been there. Honestly, it’s an enduring quality that it is hard to find.
