We were in Bell Buckle one day walking by the shops and happened to walk by Alley BBQ. The smell stopped us in our tracks. It smelled like Texas. We turned around and walked over to see where it was coming from. They happened to be closed that day but were smoking brisket to serve for that week. The owners saw us walk up to the door and still invited us in even though they were closed. We talked with them for probably half an hour swapping stories. We came back a few days later to try the BBQ and we were not disappointed. The BBQ is great no matter what you choose (try the brisket tacos). The smoked pecan pie is also amazing. On top of that, the family that owns and runs the business will make you feel right at home and treat you like old friends. I can’t recommend them enough. Do yourself a favor and give them a try.

My wife and I stopped in for our first time Saturday July 13, 2024 and we’re pleasantly delighted with everything we seen and ate. We shared a pulled chicken sandwich with coleslaw and barbequed beans. The beans were truly BBQ beans and not baked beans (a real treat in this neck of the woods). After our healthy and delicious meal we tried the “Smoked Pecan Pie” and WOW how wonderful it was, not too sweet and with just a hint of smoke, delicious!
The decor was charming perfectly fitting. We will be coming back to try everything they offer especially the smoked pecan pie. We will bring our friends and recommend Alley BBQ to everyone we can.

Loved this little Texas BBQ joint, I use the adder of “Texas” BBQ because that is a specific style of BBQ and this place represents it well. The staff were great and you have to love a family run business that is literally the whole family they’re helping out. It’s has some seating so I wouldn’t say it’s set up well for eat in but the five us did that just fine. But a few more people in the room and it’s full. I highly recommend this nice spot!

Not bad but not too great, flavor of the brisket was good but you could tell it was dry that’s why it was chopped up. The bbq sauce was good and coleslaw was good.
The staff were very nice and friendly. Great spot

BBQ ALERT…there’s a new Texas BBQ joint in the hamlet of Bell Buckle, TN!!! I was walking around Bell Buckle and as I rounded the corner I was stunned by the sweet scent of BBQ and could not resist entering Alley BBQ. I met Madilynn McReynolds at the counter whose smile lights up the room and was very welcoming. She told me they have been open for about 5 months and the smoker sits behind the restaurant. I can see where the name of the place comes from, it’s about as big as an alley so seating is limited.
I decided to go with the Cowboy Sampler and the sausage, brisket, and chicken option plus some beans and potato salad. The brisket is on point with a subtle smoke flavor, very tender, moist, and a nicely seasoned bark. The chicken was tender with a light smoke and the sausage had a nice pork flavor, not overly seasoned, and the casing was firm. I really enjoyed the potato salad, very different flavor as it included chunks and pieces of green olives, sadly I wasn’t a fan of the beans. They also make their own BBQ sauce, a sweet & smoky flavor and really compliments the meat.
I also met the McReynolds family…was a pleasure to talk BBQ with Jeremy and Crystal, wonderful folks who are intent on providing a good experience for their customers. Overall a solid offering of Texas style BBQ while the service and atmosphere is awesome.

The name fits, nice cozy place with nice BBQ and nice people! Had the pulled pork, beans and mac & cheese. Love the beans just the right amount of kick, just like in TX. Will have to try the brisket next time as confirmed the family is from TX.

Great BBQ. I had the brisket, beans, and mac&cheese. The house sauce is great and would like to see a little more or some on the table. I dipped my brisket in the beans….oh man that was good.

Alley BBQ is hands down the best BBQ in the area! The brisket is amazing. The service is also great. Everyone is so nice and attentive. They even offer complimentary Nash Creamy ice cream to kids who recite the pledge of allegiance. They are a much needed and welcomed addition to the downtown business community. You really get a sense they have great pride in their food, service, family history, and the Belle Buckle community.
