As a tourist visiting Little Italy in San Diego, you have dozens if not hundreds of options to dine out. Allegro was my choice and I loved it! I would go back to San Diego just to go back to this restaurant! The lasagna with crab meat with a lobster bisque was unbelievable. I’ve never had anything like it anywhere else and I can’t recommend it enough. They have a great patio so they get five stars on atmosphere and food but I’ve got to give four stars on service. My server was amazing, but there was some punk kid Waterboy. that was kind of judgmental about me dying alone. maybe it’s because he’s a millennial and doesn’t know any better. But I’m going back back to this place for that lasagna. Outstanding and highly recommended.

From the moment we walked in, we were completely blown away. The Christmas décor was absolutely stunning, elegant, festive, and perfectly done. The ambiance felt warm, intimate, and truly special, setting the tone for an unforgettable night.
The drinks were excellent, the appetizers were on point, and the food overall was outstanding. But the real star of the night was the lobster fettuccine hands down the best I’ve ever had. Unreal flavor, perfectly cooked, and absolutely delicious.
What truly elevated our experience was our server, Silvio, who is also the owner. His hospitality was top tier. He made us feel genuinely welcomed, took incredible care of us, and turned our first visit into something truly memorable. You can feel the passion and pride he has for this place in every detail.
We enjoyed every bite, every sip, and every moment.
This was our first time here, and we left completely enamored. We will 100% be back and will absolutely be recommending this restaurant to everyone we know.

Our dining experience at Allegro in San Diego was truly wonderful. From the moment we arrived, the restaurant impressed us with its warm, inviting atmosphere that feels both intimate and refined—perfect for a relaxed yet elevated Italian dining experience.
The food was outstanding across the board. Every dish was beautifully prepared, full of authentic Italian flavors, and perfectly balanced. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients and the care that goes into each plate. Nothing felt overly complicated—just classic Italian cuisine executed exceptionally well.
What stood out most was how consistently delicious everything was. Each course complemented the next, creating a seamless and satisfying meal from start to finish. It’s the kind of place where you can confidently order anything on the menu and know it will be excellent.
Overall, Allegro delivers an exceptional dining experience with delicious food, a charming ambiance, and a level of quality that makes it memorable. We loved every moment and would absolutely return.

Allegro was wonderful. The atmosphere is so cute, the pasta was delicious, and I can’t wait to come back! Alessio was my waiter and he was wonderful! He had so much knowledge on the food and was very kind. All of the staff were very kind. Alessio went out of his way to make sure it was a great experience.

The food and the service was impeccable. Paloma was our server for the night. My bestie and I were celebrating our bdays- we are out of towners and couldn’t be happier for the choice to come here. Paloma really made our experience an amazing one taking pictures for us not rushing us and being so attentive despite how incredibly busy it was. The food was amazing from the salad to the dessert!! The atmosphere was beautiful but I will say the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting and disappointing to walk into. So that would be my only recommendation is to be a little attentive to the upkeep of the restrooms. But all in all- 100% recommend!!!!

Allegro was amazing per usual. Service and food was amazing, we ordered the pasta wheel (hits every time) and the gnocchi which was also delicious. Silvio took excellent care of us, helping us pair wines and even going as far as bringing us a sweet treat at the end of our meal! The atmosphere added to our overall dining experience, additional shoutout to Georgio for putting up with our tables insane request for more bread. Not only did he deliver, but he did so with a smile and made us feel not guilty about the additional carbs. Thank you for the wonderful experience, can’t wait to come again!

Ummmm. This was the worst and most expensive happy hour of our trip here in SD. The waiter clearly couldn’t keep up with the tables, that were assigned to him. And then we had a manager who clearly saw he was struggling, but just kept walking around. At some point, the storm got really bad yesterday water was going coming through the patio, but they didn’t move anyone till things got bad. The “chefs” specials were also a huge miss, the lobster bisque (tasted like soup pizza) and the lobster fettuccini, were good in the moment but when we got back to our hotel. It was not a good night. The real kicker that with tip this came out to $300, which was not even worth the “expreso” martinis I had. Beware… Maybe avoid happy hour lol
