I absolutely love this spot! Allegro Pizza and Grill is easily one of the best, most consistent pizza joints in University City. Whether you are grabbing a quick slice on the go or settling in for a full pie, the quality is top-notch with a perfect, savory, thin crust. It’s a fantastic, cozy spot to hang out, especially since they have a great selection of beers on tap and in the cooler.

I had a best pizza place but since coming here it’s now changed. I visited on a craving and saw reviews for the food that looked promising. The pizza was the only food item had this far. Plain because that is how to determine if it’s good or not. All components were tasty. Very original. Very NY styled pizza. Will return to try the other items. The beer doesn’t hurt either but it was a bit overpriced. The service wa wonderful, kind and efficient. This is why I’ll definitely return.

Great local pizza place with nice people. Came here a few times while family members were in the hospital. Had the pizza and a cheesesteak in the past. They have a cooler of beers (including 6-packs to go) and some beer on tap. Had a cheesesteak with fried onions, lettuce and tomato on seeded roll with a double IPA on draft from Yards. Was all delicious. Sat at their little patio. Glad to know a local place for when my family (or one of our dogs) are in the hospital.

A friend from Philly said this was her go-to spot for cheesesteaks when she went home, so we thought it was worth a try. I thought it was… just okay, nothing to write home about. They put a good amount of steak on the sandwich, but it was too dry for me and lacked seasoning. I got the regular cheesesteak. We also ordered two of the green pepper cheesesteaks with hot and sweet peppers. The sweet peppers were a hit with my family. My son ordered the Texas burger, which looked really good. I didn’t sample it, though. They also had pizza that you could buy whole or by the slice. Nice atmosphere, not too much noise. And, they have TV’s on the wall so you could catch a game or something while you eat. I’m glad we got the Philadelphia cheesesteak experience, but we probably won’t revisit this spot.

Visited Allegros for the first time today~
Got the Allegro’s House Pizza and the Cheesesteak Pizza~
Both were very delicious~
I loved how the underside wasn’t floppy but very crispy~
The staff is also very engaging and friendly~
Can’t wait to come back~
Good thing is, many areas in area is free parking on Sundays~
Another good meal at Allegros.
The pizza was delicious as usual, but one thing I noticed, they could be sliced better. Had to go thru them with a knife because they wouldn’t come apart.
The Italian hoagie was delicious.
The cheesesteak was made with a Sarcone’s roll and Cooper Sharp cheese. Overall, a solid cheesesteak, but the only real setback, couldn’t taste any cheese.
The service here is always fun and friendly.
A great neighborhood spot.

Visiting Philadelphia and ordered a Neapolitan pizza to my hotel. It came quickly and arrived with plates and napkins. The pizza was perfection! I’m a New Yorker and it’s hard to find truly good pizza most places, but this humble Neapolitan pie was outstanding! I look forward to trying more items from their menu while here!

Great wings! Great burgers! Huge variety of pizza slices. Steak quesadilas not so good. Basically a cheese steak on a tortilla. The cheesesteaks were ok not Great. Lacking cheese and flavor. They have a huge selection of bottled beer and about 10 beers on draft. Plenty of room to eat inside and outside. Staff was friendly and helpful.
