Alleged

Social Profile:

Stylish lounge with an eclectic mix of music and drinks. The drinks and design elements pay homage to the wide array of nefarious activities that allegedly took place not only in this building, but Historic 25th St as a whole. The last use of this space was the notorious Rose Rooms Brothel. We’ve brought the first roof deck bar to Ogden and have 3 different floors with different vibes on each. Open to the public Thurs-Sat and available for private events any night of the week.

I want to love this place because it’s the only place in Ogden with somewhat of an ability to dance. A new DJ is in order. No one wants to listen to music that sounds like a high school dance. Never had a cocktail here that was good. Second floor needs louder music and more bartenders. The best night I had here is when they had a guest DJ come and play on the roof, which also doesn’t have music otherwise. This place could be something really great.

Bro, for real… The DJ’s music choice is just awful.. I love to dance and have been visiting this place periodically for the last 4 years and every time it’s the same terrible songs, that, as another user stated, could have been found off a 2015 hits Pandora playlist. So hard to dance to anything played. Only reason people show an ounce of amusement is because they are drunk and have muscle memory of shouting the words in a drunken slur. Like for real dude, Katy perry????? Actually infuriating considering it’s the only dance club in Ogden. Been here 15+ times in the last 6 years and it’s the same thing every single time. Seriously … Hire a new, talented DJ that can read the room.

The DJ here played the WORST music last night. No one wants to listen to overplayed radio songs from 2015. It could have been a pandora playlist. No one was dancing and the DJ could not read the room. We gave him a tip to play some early 2000’s and he played freaking Macklemore.

The scene up here is basic drinks, drunk kids, and the smell of body. It’s a scene that’s probably needed in the area for young adults to let go but, we can definitely do well with more staff and cup cleaning. The bar downstairs on the other hand was amazing. Same ownership done better down below. More of a chill vibe with talented tenders. Will be going back there.

The atmosphere is nice. It’s the only bar with a cool dance floor, but Ogden needs another one because the bouncers here are so unprofessional. I’ve seen them literally pick on people here for no valid reason. I walked out the front door instead of the back not knowing I couldn’t leave, I was out the door and three of them with one guy pulling me back, I shrugged him off and then all three of them proceeded to yell at me with one of them chase me out the door. I was already out of the club, I’m pretty sure once I’m out the door if you are chasing someone trying to put your hands on them that’s just illegal. I was no longer in the building, who do they think they are that they can come after me out the door, and for what? I Literally am walking out the front door because I had to leave. I did go back and tell another more professional bouncer at the back door that I was sorry for walking out the front instead of the back but I don’t understand why they tried to chase and pull be back inside, I heard them say don’t let him back in again. All I was doing was trying to leave, there is no reason to chase me down the street. I did nothing but try and leave and I guess I walked out the wrong door, I was confused at the time why they were so angry and couldn’t believe I was being chased and screamed at out the front door. I did speak to the guy that chased me and asked why he was chasing me and why they were so angry, I said I can’t walk out the front door?…it was beyond disrespectful, probably illegal behavior, if their doing this to other people, which I’ve witnessed some terrible behavior, the owner needs to know or they may face some kind of lawsuit Just because your a bouncer doesn’t mean you can bully and harass people. I know other people who have had similar issues. The night this took place was Saturday August 30th. Do better.

The only qualification to become a bouncer here is to have a superiority complex.

Men have to pay a cover fee ranging from $5-$20 depending how much the bouncer wants to pocket. Guy in front of me gets told $5 I get told $15, guy behind be gets told $10, guy behind him gets told $20.

Also, I got patted down while not a single of the 5 people in front of me or the 2 people behind me do. Place is a dump go literally anywhere else.

Alleged is special in Ogden because it’s one of the only places you can go to really dance. But the rooftop bar is my favorite part! After 10pm on the weekends it gets pretty wild and fun in there. They have great, fairly expensive drinks. A good place to people watch or talk to strangers.

Really surprisingly cool bar in Ogden. The rooftop bar was a great surprise. 3 different levels of bar and hangout area. Would come grab a drink after the twilight concerts while waiting for the front runner.

Decent atmosphere, but sup bar drinks and not a single bartender in sight that cares about the quality of their services. Some were just rude and outright difficult to deal with. Not worth going here over any other bar on 25th. Layout and scenery is great, but not enough to be a saving grace.

Might want to brush up on ADA laws- We were almost denied entry as we had a veteran with a service dog with us. They asked for papers and we presented a certified card, ultimately getting us through the door with the caution that the owner might not like having a dog in his establishment.
It was 7:30 pm not busy and really didn’t smell nice in there (raw sewer smell) – we had a drink and left. Not sure it is a place we will visit again.
