We visited twice, the menu was well marked with allergens, we ate gluten free meals and no reactions to allergens. The waitress was well informed regarding what else was available. The fish cakes were brilliant.

Very authentic thai food. Real spicy and not compromising at all, which is good. Portion was quite small though, not sure if it’s because of lunch menu. We added Roti as side dish to get full. Will come try again for dinner.

Ordered during lunch time :
1. pad see ew with beef – small portion (with less than 8 noodles as you can see from the photo), oily and a bit salty, beef are chewy
2. cashew nut chicken – just normal
3. Thai milk tea – no signature thai milk tea flavor, small portion with lots of ice
4. Curry puff chicken – The best in this meal
just wondering why many good reviews after this meal. There are many better options in sandy bay.

My partners and I stumbled upon All Thai Sandy Bay on a recent trip to Hobart, and I’m so glad we did! Located on Sandy Bay Rd, it’s a casual spot with black and orange walls, offering a relaxed atmosphere perfect for a weeknight dinner.
We were immediately greeted by the warm smile of the owner, who took the time to explain some of their signature dishes and answer our questions about spice levels. We opted for the classic Pad Thai and the Green Curry with rice, both prepared with fresh Tasmanian ingredients. The flavors were absolutely spot on – the Pad Thai had the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and tangy, while the Green Curry offered a satisfying kick of heat. We also shared a plate of spring rolls to start, which were crispy and packed with delicious filling.
Overall, All Thai Sandy Bay was a delightful surprise. The food was authentic and flavorful, the service was friendly and attentive, and the prices were very reasonable. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Hobart!

The staff was friendly, and the food was good—though not particularly memorable. I tried the tom yum and pad thai from the vegetarian options. The tom yum was quite enjoyable, but the tofu in the pad thai was not very good. Despite that, I plan to come back to try some other options.

Had dinner with friends, standard thai curry, stir fry, rice & noodle options in the menu, reasonable price. Panang curry chicken, chicken larb salad, chicken pad Thai & Thai fish cake tasted nice, vegetables was a bit raw for me in the curry. Service was prompt, looked like a popular place on Friday evening.

Unfortunately had a poor experience
Both the dishes were bland and almost tasteless.
Lemon lime bitters was great!
Provided feedback to the staff and they took it in good faith and said they will work on it which is a good thing.

I enjoyed the food although there was a HUGE number of carrots in both dishes (not exactly a staple of Thailand). My husband didn’t particularly like his. The restaurant was packed and quite noisy but service was good. Unfortunately we both got food poisoning – me within about 6 hours of my visit, my husband the next day. We have no idea whether it was this but the Indian where we ate lunch, we didn’t share and at the Thai we did, with me eating much more than husband. So hard to know but would probably not go back just in case.

Thought we’d try this restaurant tonight on our first night in Hobart. Staff were great and accommodating. Food was delicious, had the beef massaman which was the best we’d ever eaten. Prices are very reasonable. Would highly recommend this restaurant and would definately return.
