I have to be really honest here, I have traveled all over the United States and have been to plenty of BBQ restaurants. Don’t believe me, look at my reviews. This is the first place I’ve been to that I feel I’m doing an injustice by not having more stars to award. When an owner, like Larry, take their business so seriously, yet, he truly loves every minute of serving the world’s best barbecue to his customers, it amazes me. He also hand picked help to complement his idea of providing an excellent customer experience in service and her name is Shannon! Thank you two, for one of the best barbecue experiences aromas, flavors, tastes, and quality that I’ve ever had in BBQ place! DON’T miss this place! We will drive 2 1/2 hours one-way, just to visit you again…

Wife and I have been here 3 times this week. Larry the owner came out and introduced himself to us. He does most if not all of the cooking .We have had several items off the menu. All worth reordering again. Ribs are top notch, chicken and pulled pork is delicious..He is considering a buffet and a all chicken night. If you are in the area it is a must stop.

Awesome BBQ and even better people and service. It’s all about the meat. Ribs, brisket, sausage, you name it! Don’t miss the potato salad and slaw (150 years old recipe). Its all good. So good, we got more to-go. Ask for Larry if he’s on site but the entire staff is very kind and gracious. A1!! Well worth planning a stop in Walden if you are passing through the area.

We stumbled upon this place while driving to Steamboat and loved it!! The pork nachos were our favorite and was enough for two. We also got the sausage link and a side of green chili. Be sure to try the green chili!! We had a great chat with the owner, Larry, and enjoyed hearing how he got started in the BBQ business. Charming place, charming owner, and great food!

I don’t often give out 5 star reviews, but this place deserves a minimum of 5 stars. The best BBQ I have ever had. The ribs, sausage, pulled pork, and brisket all rank in the top 2-3 I have ever had. The ribs and brisket are by far the best I have ever had. The sides are great too, I’m rather fond of the cornbread, Mac and cheese, and cole slaw. The sauces? Heavenly. So good it’s not even funny. Had pulled pork nachos for the special one day… the best nachos I have ever had. The service is quick, the owner is one of the friendliest gentlemen I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, and to hear “did you get enough to eat” at the end of a meal, are some of the greatest things you can hear. I feel like I’m having BBQ at home. I cannot say enough good things about this fine establishment.

All Smoked Up was impeccable! The brisket was practically melting, the pulled pork was juicy and tender, and the beans were just the right balance of sweet and spicy. I can confidently say the service was the funniest and most delightful I’ve had in awhile, in a gruffly charming kind of way.

Best grub in Walden! These folks pour a whole lot of love into their food. Pulled pork and brisket are so flavorful and perfectly cooked. Service was top-knotch. Will be stopping in again!
