Overpriced and very disappointing. Stopped in while on the area for an appointment. I ordered the “2-2-2,” two slices of “French toast”, two eggs and two link sausage and a coffee. The coffee tastes decent, about what would be expected for a diner. $15 for the “2-2-2”. The French toast appears to be made with wonder bread or similar cheap, white bread and is flavorless. The “maple syrup” is some nasty, off-brand high fructose corn syrup abomination with the label torn off, so you can’t even see what you’re getting. Eggs over easy were fine. Guessing the cook(s) lack confidence or don’t own a meat thermometer, as the two (tiny) link sausages were sliced in half lengthwise and overcooked to the point that they were difficult to slice and even harder to eat.
Cannot recommend this place.

I just LOVE this place! It’s my little breakfast nook/comfort zone…the service is quick and friendly always, the food is great and it’s just your classic little diner/restaurant.

Good diner type food with a cafe setting. We ate at All Night Eggplant with a group of seniors and we’re pleased with the quality of both meals. The service was friendly and efficient. It’s furnished with simple tables and chairs of blonde wood that made for a relaxing space. Two things to be aware of: despite the name it closes mid-afternoon and the exterior signage is so bad we thought we were lost. It is in the back corner of the strip mall.

If you find yourself in Dewitt, All Night Eggplant is certainly memorable. Walking in (once you find the place – the sign is easy to miss,) you are greeted by an interior that can best be described as a “charming technicolor lumberyard,” with walls and fixtures made of brightly colored wood that actually work to create a neat, cozy vibe. There’s even an old-school Casio cash register upfront that hits a nice note of nostalgia for those of us who have been using up-to-date POS systems since, well, the 1990s. The furniture has personality, too—specifically, the wobbly tables. However, credit where it’s due: rather than letting us spill our coffee, they employed handcrafted wedges to stabilize the situation. We sat next to a charming pair of locals who confided that the spot was “interesting, but the food is good,” and after our meal, I can confirm this assessment is entirely accurate.
The menu is heavy on breakfast with a handful of lunch sandwiches, but we were there for the eggs. I ordered a beast of a meal called “The Fretta.” It is essentially a frying-pan-sized omelet containing three eggs, sausage, vegetables, and a delicious combination of whatever else they could find. It was massive and genuinely tasty, though I’d definitely add cheese next time. My wife ordered a standard breakfast including hard-boiled eggs. If you frequent diners, you know hard-boiled eggs are a surprisingly rare find, but they had them readily available here. They were served cold and were cooked perfectly. Prices were reasonable, and the food came out relatively quickly all things considered.
The service is where things got a little complicated. We were one of only five tables, yet our server seemed profoundly overwhelmed—not by a rush, but perhaps just by life in general. She checked on our drink order three times before remembering it, and I was inexplicably served two spoons and zero forks to tackle my omelet. As a business consultant, I look at a place like this and see massive potential that is just slightly being overlooked. It’s certainly a step up from Waffle House, but don’t expect luxury; the vibe lands somewhere on par with a late-night Denny’s running on a skeleton crew. It won’t be our first choice next time we are in the Syracuse area, but if we specifically need a no-nonsense breakfast, we’d go back. Three stars.
Special Note: Although they are called “All Night Eggplant,” they are not open at night. Like, not at all. (?)
Final Note: Since they serve eggs, my marketing brain thinks that they should put a space between Egg and Plant. This would project images of a “factory” cranking out egg dishes. I’m not sure of the appeal of eggplant available 24/7… (even if they WERE open past 3pm.)

We can on Memorial Day for breakfast and it was pretty busy. The staff was super friendly and we ordered our food quite promptly.
It’s a no frills place. Cheeky diner decor. The food was ok. Nothing fancy and it got the job done.

Cute little place in Dewitt. No wait and friendly waitress. I ordered the toasted honey bun and home fries with onions. The toasted honey bun was okay. The home fries were over cooked.

The All Night Eggplant is simply outstanding. The food was of the highest quality and the service/atmosphere is unmatched. I love the vibes here every single time making me a regular. Personally, I recommend the sausage egg and cheese or the Brooklyn Homefries. If you ever find yourself looking for a great breakfast, give the All Night Eggplant a visit. You will not be disappointed.

I was there to witness the owner leave the kitchen to kick people out who were sat and ordered one minute after he decided to close the kitchen that day. He swore at this elderly couple who were confused about what was happening. When another patron stood up to call the owner out, the owner decided to go outside to continue his disagreement. Cherry on top, the hours posted on the door and on google said they were still open for two more hours. Never going back and can’t recommend to anyone.

Fiancé had the Brooklyn home fries and French toast, I had an omelette. Both were delicious. Service was great. We hope to return.
