I have been there several times and have never been disappointed. I usually get wings, cabbage, and fried okra and they are good. Tonight I tried the salmon croquet, greens, and fried okra. I might have a new favorite. My husband absolutely loves the fried pork chop.

Emma’s is a local, family owned, and black owned and operated restaurant serving up the city’s BEST soul food!!! Every dish tastes like a hug from Big Mama/Grandma. The second time I visited I brought a friend from California. As Angelenos we are very particular about good food and we were impressed and taken aback by the warm service, friendly staff, and of course the food. We were offered samples of Macaroni and cheese and savory meatloaf that left us excited and hungry for more. We were also given a sample of banana pudding that changed the game completely! Please support black businesses and pay a visit to this gem!
