Meatloaf was kinda dry, and the carrots still had the stems on them. That’s a no no, as a person could choke on them.
There was a carrot under the meatloaf and when I put it in my mouth it had the end on it with the stem n leaves n everything, disgusting.
When I talked to the manager she laughed and said that’s what the chef chose how to do it and I can just cut it off if I don’t like it.
Hell nawwww….
A kid could easily choke on that.
It’s stupidity is what it is.
I nicely nodded, finished my food and walked out………
I’m very disappointed at the managers response, and I’m sure she wishes she knew I’m a local guide with almost a million views on my review but maybe next time a respectful customer says something she won’t laugh then off. DO BETTER….
Now, as far as the service goes ,MEGAN did an absolutely outstanding job and she made me a delicious vanilla iced coffee too. And the food came out quickly. I give her props.
But I highly recommend this place remove the carrot stems as it’s super tacky and a choke hazard..
I’m more of a savory person but the waffles they bring by look delicious too.
Good price for portion.
Usually there is a wait time, but since we were seated outside there wasn’t.
French toast is so good!
The menu has some nice options, but the quality didn’t quite match the prices. It’s a spot with potential, but it really needs better attention to detail and a bit more warmth from the staff. I’d consider giving it another try on a less busy day to see if things improve.
One of us had a burrito, one biscuits and gravy with eggs, the third corned beef hash. This is not your standard recipe, they all had slight tweaks that made them a touch off from the average diner meal. We enjoyed the food. The coffee was beyond fantastic.
All around, we intend to go back, despite the wait and bustling atmosphere. Next time we are going to make sure that, between us, we somehow find a way to try one of their sweet options.
The waitress basically told us what kind of toast we were going to have (you’re okay with wheat, right?). My husband ordered the cheese grits with no scallions. The scallions were embedded in the cheese, and the grits were runny. The toast came out burnt on the edges and basically warm bread in the center. We were then told that our jam was strawberry rhubarb preserves. No choice in that, either, and the waitress had walked away before I could object because I’m not a fan of rhubarb. Also, preserves implies chunks of fruit. Not purée, which is what we received. She was clearly annoyed we existed, and we can call the tip a self fulfilling prophecy. Not sure what happened this morning, but it wasn’t the experience we normally have here.
