In the city for a couple of days and needed a late-night food option nearby, and I found this Bangladeshi restaurant. I don’t think I had ever tried authentic Bangladeshi cuisine before, but I’m so happy I gave this place a try! You have to try it too—and tell everyone you know—because it was so delicious!

I ordered chicken samosas and got four of them. They were pretty large—about the size of my fist—and stuffed. The sauces were fantastic: I loved the green one, and the red one had a mild kick but was really tasty. For my main meal, I got the large chicken tikka masala curry with rice and a Coke.

The total came to $25-something, but I gave $30 and told them to keep the rest as a tip. Service was great—the staff brought the food out, noticed I couldn’t open my Coke, and even took it to the bottle opener for me. I ended up needing a second drink and got a Sprite for free, which was super kind (maybe partly because of the tip!).

All this to say, I’m so glad I tried something new—I had no idea what I had been missing out on!

1. Specify the price before you order (Price is not updated on the menu. The guy will charge $2 extra for almost every item listed on the menu)

2. Specify the quantity, half or full. ( The guy will cook the full quantity and charge you for the full price if you don’t mention the quantity)

I mentioned to that guy that I am not hungry, and the other person with me doesn’t like fish. He still cooked the full fish and charged me $20 just because I didn’t mention clearly that I want HALF fish!

3. Decline every offer. He will offer you Dal, mixed vegetable while you are eating like he is your relative and it’s free. But those are EXTRA $. So decline and decline unless you really want it.

The most underrated restaurant in Atlanta! The food is so delicious, authentic, and freshly-made; it’s hard to get food like this in even the higher-end restaurants. Our favorite was the lamb with rice- perfectly seasoned rice with tender lamb pieces at a very reasonable price. The shawarma biryani was also pretty good. They have different specials often, and they’re always tasty. The owner is a sweet guy who always gives us chai with our food. The menu may be confusing to people who haven’t been before, but the lamb w/ rice is always a hit with everyone. Don’t miss Alif Cafe if you’re looking for a new restaurant to try!

Great quality food, price is reasonable. Authentic Bangladeshi taste. Chatpati was one of the best in the USA.
Tried their khichuri with beef liver (kolija) and Rupchada fish. Both were really great in taste. A must to go place in Atlanta for authentic Bangladeshi food.

The Sunday special Lamb Shank Rost with KAlizera rice was the best! And of course, the rest of the food we ordered tasted so good too. I haven’t been to many Bangladeshi places, but I’m glad this place is worth dining in. The price is also reasonable. I also like the fact that they stay late. I was so hungry and I was ready to eat at waffle house thinking it’ll be hard to find other food places at 12mn. Good thing they’re open until 1am.

Alif Cafe is a fast-casual restaurant serving made-to-order, delicious Halal and Bangladeshi cuisine. The restaurant is tucked in the corner of the Aloha shopping center (near Buford Hwy and Dresden Dr. intersection) and is easy to miss. The parking lot is small and a bit confusing. Once inside, the restaurant is cozy, simply-furnished and unassuming. The meal is actually served on paper and plastic plates.

I ordered the Capli Kasas, Chicken Samosa, Mix (Gyro and Shawarma) Biryani, and Mango Lassi. My meal came out within an appropriate timeframe and I received good service.

The Capli Kasas are delicious, breaded chicken patties. The breading, seasoning, spice were on point and I loved the chili sauce and cucumber yogurt sauce that accompanied it.

The chicken samosa was also a highlight. The filling was very flavorful.

The biryani was a combination of lamb and chicken. There is a vertical rotisserie in the kitchen with lamb roasting, so I knew the lamb would be delicious. The chicken was not as flavorful. Make sure to ask for extra hot sauce if you like heat. The portion size is large, and I am looking forward to the leftovers!

The Mango Lassi was a refreshing way to end a comforting spicy meal. I will definitely return to try the other dishes, especially the lamb dishes.

I’m sorry but I have to wonder if they gave me an unseasoned chicken biryani on purpose as I’m white. I ordered a chicken biryani for $15 and confirmed that it would include some sort of curry sauce that a lot of biryanis come with or can add on to. They said it would but instead I paid $16.20 and got no curry sauce, bland chicken, and bland rice in good heavy portions. There was some roughly cut large chunks of onion and tomato as well.

I really don’t think this is the normal chicken biryani you are serving? I was nearly about to go recook this and season it myself

I ordered chicken tenders, veggie samosas, fries, and mango lassi. The chicken tenders and fries were nice and crispy, the samosas were really well spiced, and the mango lassi was so refreshing and had a strong mango flavour!! The staff were really kind and eager to help! I definitely recommend this place, especially to Muslims looking for good halal food!

Incredible food from a tiny restaurant. The staff are very friendly and everything is delicious. I usually go for the mixed byriani, but the fried rice is excellent, as well as the curries. Great price, considering the portions. Highly recommended!

Wow food is so good get ready to go to flavor town when you eat here. This is like eating at someone’s house food is so fresh and delicious. Chicken was so juicy the beef was melting in your mouth and the salmon curry was just bursting with flavor. You def have to get some chai at the end to top it all off. Owner is amazing and whips up that fire. Sit down and enjoy this fantastic meal
