Alice Bakery & Confection is a standout spot. The almond croissant I ordered was remarkable—flaky, buttery, generously sized, and filled with plenty of rich almond goodness. The cakes and pies in the case looked incredible, and I’m already planning a return visit to try their tea or coffee. A sweet shop on a sweet street.

The Ladies Group in our community hosted a Tea Party today and I ordered the scones and danish from Alice Bakery in North Wales. First order from there for me. The women loved everything. And Lizzie and Dennis were so great to work with. I highly recommend them. These are their minis scones and mini danish. Can you imagine how big the full size versions must be? #ShopLocal

Lovely little bakery and coffee shop. Remind you, the coffee is not like your typical coffee shop, it’s just those carafes filled with coffee. The space was nice and quaint, could use some sprucing up on the interior, looked a bit shabby in there. But it was nice overall to sit and just write. The hostess was very nice, and can’t say she never came over too often, she was always checking and seeing if we needed anything. Very pleasant. I had a warmed up chocolate croissant with a cup of coffee and it was very good.

Just as good as I remembered!!! Back in 2019 the previously owned 2nd location in Ambler caught my eye and I had to stop in. I fell in love with this place, from the gorgeous cupcakes, to the delicious grilled cheese and tomato soup! I always meant to go back for the croissants that looked to die for and sure enough when I visited in North Wales yesterday for the first time, I was not disappointed! This is my favorite bakery.

We stopped by to pick up a cake for a dear friend’s birthday. It’s a cute and warm cafe and bakery. When we walked in, we were greeted with friendly staff members and great smell of baked goods. Local families Were enjoying their lunches, and we absolutely Love the atmosphere in the bakery. We picked up a chocolate cake with white frosting birthday cake. The cake was delicious, we all loved it. It wasn’t too sweet, it was the best chocolate cake we have had for a long time. We also enjoyed several pastries from the bakery – they were all very good. We cannot be more pleased with the cake and all the pastries from the café, and the outstanding service and friendly hospitality from the owner and his staff members. We cannot wait to go back to support this outstanding local business. We highly recommend this bakery!

Without exaggeration one of the best chocolate croissants I’ve ever had in my life. Super flakey, chocolate still melty. Hidden gem for sure.

I have now been here multiple times and I wanted to wait to write a review based on multiple occasions.

You guys- the croissants are phenomenal. I drive here 30 plus minutes just for them. Chocolate, hazelnut, plain and many more!

Their food is so fresh and their fresh baked breads, its chefs kiss! They make every single item from scratch and on site and all of their recipes consist of fresh — REAL ingredients.

Wow, Alice Bakery did a fabulous job on my custom cake for a dear friend’s birthday! I called on a Wed for a Sun party and they had no problem with my last minute order. I asked for vanilla cake with peanut butter buttercream and crushed butterfingers candy around the outside, not a cake from their menu (though I think they should add it;-). They excided my expectations! Everyone at the party said it was the best cake they have ever had and I totally agree. It was worth every penny!

Alice’s Bakery has the BEST key lime tarts. Sweet, buttery crust with chilled, creamy lime topping. Try one yourself— you won’t regret it! Additionally, the staff here are very polite, the shop is kept clean, and the delicious smell of baked goods is irresistible to passerby.

Don’t know quite what to make of this place. Yes the bread and food are delicious. Lot of attitude from the staff sometimes (just read the staff’s review responses on here for an example).
What aggravates me is that, in violation of PA state law, they charge tax on their bread if you buy a loaf to take away. PA doesn’t charge tax on food unless it is ‘ready to eat’.
“61 Pa. Code § 60.7 – Sale and preparation of food and beverages;
(i) “B” bakery sells baked goods, soft drinks, coffee, prepackaged and hand-dipped ice cream. The sale of baked goods and prepackaged ice cream by “B” is not subject to tax. However, the sale of soft drinks, coffee and hand-dipped ice cream by “B” is subject to tax.”

Their menu says their bread is $5.50 a loaf. If they charge you $5.84 the way they did over several of my visits (and over my objections), they’re ripping you off.
