Went to celebrate my 72nd birthday. Had the Portuguese stuffed quahogs which are always absolutely delicious. I had the Steak Mozambique with a spicy gravy, egg, rice and round potato fries. My wife had the chef steak. Same exact dis except the gravy was an au jus. Steaks cooked medium rare, and juicy.
The only negative is that the restaurant is in South New Bedford. A bit seedy and overcrowded.

Had a delicious steak sandwich with onions & mushrooms with a side order of fries . Very tasty & liked the sweet rice ( similar to rice pudding )

First time for us, it was recomended by a local business. Food was wonderful. Service great in begining & they were all working hard but so many people, it became slow. Be patient, if you’re in a hurry go somewhere else. Authentic Portuguese dishes! All cooked to order. Good size portions My suggestion is to try and have an authentic pastry option.

Alianca is a heavy hitter for Portuguese food in the region. A smaller half-bar and half-dine-in that may look like a hole in the wall, but holds some amazing, traditional food inside. I feel every restaurant has the dish that they’re better at making, but Alianca holds their weight across the board. The food is always fresh, hot, and the service always attentive, even for a random weekday lunch or takeout. The Mozambique chicken/steak are some of my faves (pictured). Most restaurants over-rely on hot sauce or seasoning but here is a chef’s kiss. Authentic flavor with no shortcuts. Love the whole garlic cloves in the sauce too. The baked stuffed shrimp is really good too, but I could keep typing about the food. You should just go, they deserve the love.

Excellent food and portions. Old school, local portuguese food. Not too many places like this anymore. We also enjoy a cappuccino after our meal!

Wonderful. Parking is difficult but worth the aggravation. The servers were so warm and friendly. I had felt a little uneasy in the tight congested neighborhood but they out me at ease and made me feel so welcome. The shrimp Mozambique is life changing and far better than Antonio’s nearby. Antonio’s is also charming and good but for shrimp Mozambique I give Alianca the crown. I also had an Azorean steak that cut like butter and melted in the mouth. The pumpkin cheesecake was a great cap to my meal. If I was driving past New Bedford, I would make a special detour to go here again.

Definitely a business you want to spend your money at. Great food, good owner, and workers. My vehicle was involved in a hit and run while I was eating here and thanks to the owner and one of the bartenders the person who hit my vehicle was caught on camera and the owner happen to know the person who hit my car and tracked them down. Very much appreciated she didn’t have to do that but she did. Thank you.

This is a great restaurant if you’re looking for great Portuguese food at a great price with a decent portion of food. We got a seat right away and service was good. Parking was street parking. The area is busy on Friday night. There was a few outdoor tables.
