Ali Baba Cafe is a wonderful little Persian restaurant two blocks from campus on 3rd Street and A Street. During lunch times the place gets packed.

The breakfast burrito did not disappoint. I love the flavor that comes from the honey and the tapatio. The burrito came out hot and quick. I don’t think the price is bad for the size as it is very filling.

I had the breakfast burrito and I liked the taste; adding the honey adds a bit of sweetness that I thought was unique and a good decision. However, for the price of a $10, it is small. I also do like how tightly packed the burrito is, as it keeps the food held together well so I didn’t have any fear of making a mess and having stuff fall out.

One of the best breakfast burritos you can get here in Davis. The online menu is super easy to use so you can customize your burrito anyway you want it. I personally love the touch of honey that they put in their breakfast burrito, something about it really sets off the flavor of it. I would also suggest signing up for their rewards program because after so many burritos you get one free.

Good and quick grab and go meat breakfast burrito had a nice mix of flavors and textures. However, the vegetarian burrito lacks texture and flavor (aside from tapatío).

I went for their well-known breakfast burrito ($9.95) and got the veggie version for take-out. Staff were friendly and I ordered, paid, and received a warm foil bundle of burrito in a paper bag all within 5 minutes. The burrito is a cacophony of flavors and textures: the soft potato fries, the tapatio spice tempered by the sweetness of honey, the fried eggs with juicy tomatoes and mushrooms giving a hint of umami. I enjoyed this mix of flavors and the slightly toasted tortilla that held it all together.

they changed how they served, service, etc, after covid. It was my go-to breakfast, and I haven’t been months. it’s no longer worth visiting. No cheese at the end of the burrito, less sauce, paying more for extra(it was free), and they charge for cutting it in half? nonsense. I wouldn’t recommend this price knowing that they can do better.

Working @ UCD today and had a chance to ride my bike around. Stopped in to order. Cashier pointed to kiosk behind me as I ordered a veg. burrito. I said I had cash. He said they don’t accept cash. I asked if anyone else accepted cash and said “no.” Short visit. Not very friendly or helpful. Hope to try a burrito from there someday.

There’s the option of “no bun” for a burger. They will then use lettuce in place of the bread, and the result is pretty good and keto friendly, if you’re into that. I got a decent burger of this kind for less than $11.

Good food, however some of the options were vastly overpriced. For example, I wanted a breakfast burrito cut for my girlfriend, however they wanted an extra $0.75 so I just cut it myself

Came here from the recommendation of an Aggie who said Ali Baba was his go-to spot for burritos, specifically vegetarian breakfast burritos.
