We stopped by Ali Baba’s for lunch on a rainy Saturday after playing at the Children’s Museum and wow, are we glad we chose this place over others! The wait staff was so friendly and accommodating with us with our 4yo and 1yo and brought kids menus over. The gyro platter and chicken gyro was absolutely amazing and fresh. Incredibly good food and looking forward to visiting again.

Restaurant is vibrant and has a young hip flare. We were looking for a healthy tasty lunch, but found the food was good… but not great. The plate was colorful, filled with healthy veggie choices, however protein portion was lite and hummus seemed… watery. Just okay for the price tag.

From the exceptional customer service, the delicious food (the tzatziki sauce is, in my opinion, PERFECT) to the colorful and bright atmosphere that it surrounds, it is such an incredible place to share with someone! I highly recommend the classic gyro (sultan style) and the side salad is loaded with fresh Mediterranean flavors…and the baklava…oh my…order 2! One for the moment and one to enjoy later!

I stopped in with family today and we tried the Turkish coffee, falafel and Ali Baba tea. The young lady assisting customers was friendly and genuinely enjoyed being there. She was conversational, explained the foods and drinks and took time with everyone. We were a party of 4, ordered a dish with only 3 falafel and she adjusted the order to accommodate without even a question. You don’t experience that often. Highly recommend and I’ll be back. Everything was delicious!

I recently visited Ali Baba in Spartanburg and had a great experience overall. I expected a larger restaurant, but it’s actually a small, cozy venue with a peaceful atmosphere. It’s best to arrive before noon because the lunch rush picks up quickly.
The food was delicious! The spices they use on the vegetables really bring out the flavor. I tried the black bean hummus and falafel appetizer, as well as the hummus platter. I was surprised by how many raw vegetables came with these dishes—not bad at all, just unexpected, as I thought more of them would be cooked.
My absolute favorite was the falafel gyro. It was super flavorful and served on round pita bread, topped with fresh ingredients, then rolled up almost like a burrito. Definitely something I’d come back for!
The soft background music added to the relaxed atmosphere, and it was nice that everyone could actually have a conversation without shouting. Most indoor tables seat about three people, so if you’re coming with a larger group, outdoor seating might be the better option.
The restaurant is located in an area with a few other eateries nearby, so there’s a nice opportunity to explore more local flavors.

I would recommend eating here. Great little spot off Main ST. I did not like the gyro pizza because it was too salty. The Gyro platter would be my choice in the future for two people.

I Grew up eating Mediterranean food/middle eastern. Lamb seems dry and old. Chicken was dry as well. Rice was great along with the beans and corn. Not was i expecting. You get way better food from a cart. We asked for white sauce and the young lady sadly forgot. White sauce is very important with lamb over rice. Atmosphere seemed laid back in a cool way.
