Since I received a response, I’d like to explain a bit more about my experience.
My review wasn’t about ordering the wrong dish or having unrealistic expectations — it was based on what I actually received. In my opinion, the fish in the sushi and sashimi seemed to have been refrozen multiple times, which affected both the texture and freshness. The tempura inside the sushi was also oily. These aren’t just matters of personal taste — they’re quality concerns, especially when it comes to sashimi, which should meet a certain standard.
I genuinely appreciate local, family-run restaurants and always want to support them, which is why I shared my feedback honestly and constructively. I hope it’s received in that spirit

At the moment Ali is only offering drive through but they had a buy 6 get one free deal and we tried all new stuff since it was our first time ordering from there. Everything was made beyond perfect. The presentation was even very nice for to go food and traveling 30 miles. We requested our two main courses be made spicier and they did adjust for that. The bangkok combo was excellent at a bit hotter! The beef pad thai was hotter but blended perfectly with all the flavors. The sushi rolls tasted better than they looked! I can’t wait till they open dine in back up and we can go there in and eat! It’s a bit off the beaten path but this is definitely off the beaten path and worth checking out!! We definitely got our money’s worth and extra.

The food here is exceptional! The best wonton soup I’ve ever had. Best crab Rangoon as well. Truly homemade dishes with quality ingredients. It does take 1-1 1/2 hours for meal because the restaurant is completely ran by one small family. Mom, dad and grandma cooking. Kids taking orders etc… Not only is the food amazing but this is exactly the kind of business I want to support. Mt. Vernon has a lack of quality restaurants and I was so happy to have found this gem. I suggest calling ahead or enjoying the amazing appetizers will you wait. You will not be disappointed!

We were so happy Alis was open again as it was our favorite Sushi and my favorite cashew chicken place. We had dropped our exchange students off elsewhere to eat and decided to eat at Alis. When we were told it could be an hour to get our food we decided to wait for a to go order. After awhile we did ask if we could have our sweet tea to drink while we waited but they were out. In the hour and half that we waited no more was made. I understand they were very busy but the chicken still had skin on it and the flavor was kinda off from the usual that I remember getting. I dont know if it is because they added shittake mushrooms or because of the skin on the chicken. But it was off. Also the fried rice was different. Maybe I got the wrong option of the many they have. My lion roll was made incorrectly but they fixed it and made me another one and apologized for my bad experience yesterday. I will give them another try but will call ahead as suggested whether dining in or take out. I did like the 2nd Lion roll we had and would love to try more.

While the exterior may be unassuming the service and food within is some of the best I have ever had. Clearly a family business that prides itself on quality, the presentation and taste of the food was excellent. I had sushi that could only be described as art! I cannot say enough good things about this experience. Do plan to wait a normal amount of time for these food creations, as they don’t happen fast but are completely worth it.

Small quiet family owned and well worth the money! It took us alittle long to get our food. But it’s made to order and well worth the wait!! The presentation was awesome! The sushi and sashimi was so good!!! Our waitress was amazing! She was so nice and she made sure everyone was taken care of!! She never stopped taking care of everything. It was impressive! The young man that I believe is her son was great! Helped out his mom and was so polite! I wish my kids were as good as him. You won’t regret coming here!! We will be back as often as we can! It’s our new favorite sushi spot.

Friendly service, well decorated restaurant. Lots of options on the menu! Thai, Japanese, Chinese foods all have their own sections on the menu. The menu also breaks down what dishes have raw or cooked meats. Food was delicious, definitely will go back when next in the area!

On a business trip, I found this restaurant on Google after typing “healthy food near me.” Delicious food in a cozy environment. I’ve never seen food served with a plastic bonsai tree before. It added to the charm of this quaint place.
