We were the only ones dining in at lunch. The breadsticks were delicious, marinara and ranch sauces very good. The taco deep dish pizza came out looking amazing and tasted even better! Our medium seemed to be more like a large. Crust was excellent. Our waitress even gave our two kiddos quarters for the toy machine while we waited for our food! And when my son tried the dessert sticks he said it was the tastiest thing he’d ever had! The owner even popped out to say hello – it was a great experience. We will be ordering from Algers again.

The pizza was amazing, it wasn’t to bad on price, but I paid for my pizza with a debit card and gave a genorous 30% cash tip to our waitress and they decided to charge my debit card more for a tip after we left. Please be careful and make sure you only get charged the amount of your check. That is a form of theft if you ask me. Good pizza, but probably won’t go back after that.

If you have never been here you should go. I am normally a thin crust girl, I got deep dish meat lovers and our was by far the best pizza. Melissa was wonderful and the service was spectacular. Give this place a try. Don’t go there and expect our in 5 minutes. Great food deserves to be cooked the right way. I had great company and enjoyed everything about Alters Pizza Palace.

Very disappointed in this place. It took 40 min to make my takeout pizza. Then they gave it to someone else. I ordered NO GREEN PEPPERS because of allergies but they tried to get me to take the other one with peppers and told me to pick them off. The people that work there need to be better trained or fired! I wont go back!
I’d like to follow this up with last night’s event. My husband ordered a pizza from there last night. I was not aware if this until he got home. Not only did we get the correct pizza, they didn’t charge him to make things right. Thank you Algers Pizza. You’ve restored my faith in your store.

Small town pizzeria. Pizza Palace is part of the community fabric of Mt. Vernon and Cornell College. Pizza taste the same as it did in 1991 when I graduated Cornell. It’s nice that some things don’t change.
Go for the pan crust. Prices were very reasonable for 2022. Medium pizza, and 3 drinks for $12. Can’t beat that. Pizza is filling and we had leftovers with a medium.

On a road-trip, ordered large three-topping pizza. Not quite as “large” as I thought it would be (and no, I wasn’t expecting huge, but here in PA, it would count as “medium”). Pizza was ready promptly; tasted great. Wish I knew some of the local people: looked like they were having a great time talking. Much better atmosphere than what I’m accustomed to at home.

Best pizza ever, cheese bread is oh yum. We get it as often as we can, serve it to our of town guests, and always fun to go in and check out the mural. Seriously good pie!

My wife and I had a bad experience here. The waitress working here was very loud, literally running around in the dining room, unprofessional. Her hands were filthy dirty. I think I heard her crying loudly on the business land line phone. Service was slow for only 2 booths occupied. Mello yellow fountain pop was flat. Bread sticks and marinara were not good. Later she was running and crying through the dining room saying that someone she knew was on his way to jail for a long time. Maybe her nephew? I have never seen anything like this in a restaurant ever my wife did not like the pizza.

We had ordered a pizza, cheese bread, and garlic bread it was to be ready in 25 min which it was, very friendly staff. However when we opened it up the cheese bread and pizza were burnt we did try to eat some but it was a little to burnt to eat. So we call back and they were nice and ended up remaking everything and the food was very good.
