I took my wife and in-laws out to eat here. The food was ok but my main problem here was the service. We waited quite sometime before our waitress even came over to take our drink order. We ordered a large pitcher of sangria for the table. The appetizers we ordered were the grilled octopus, garlic shrimp and garlic clams. We waited an hour just for our appetizers to arrive. I understand restaurants get busy but our waitress never checked in on us at all. We had to ask another waiter walking around to refill our sangria pitcher because our waitress never returned to our table. She finally came to us with our entrees which weren’t cooked to the temperature we asked. Even getting the check to leave was a hassle. We asked her for it and she never brought it to us. I eventually went to the bar and had someone at the bar give us the check only to see that the gratuity had been automatically added to the bill. I never have an issue tipping for good service but the service we received was unacceptable. I paid the bill and won’t be going back.

I went to this establishment for the 1st time and was highly disappointed. I purchased the alleged whole tray of chicken and pork combo and only received a thigh, wing and leg.as far as the chicken goes. I mean honestly if that is the case… what is the difference with a 1/2 tray serving if you receive a 1/2 tray with a whole tray purchase. I will say the taste of the food was good but I still prefer honesty with my portion sizes. Valenca Restaurant is literally less than 5 mins from this establishment and they ALWAYS show you your food before you leave at least they are upfront about their portion sizes.

So my wife ordered from this place today, which she does often. She ordered a combo, half chicken, half pork ribs and a small salad. They said the total was $40. When my wife asked why it was so much more expensive the woman said well the small s a lad os 7 dollars and they now charge $5 dollars for delivery. My wife decided to ordet anyway. My wife then called back to ask them to send a menu with the order, the rude hispanic woman said “we dont have any”. I arrived home a couple of minutes later and my wife told me what happened. I thought about it and said you know what just call back and cancel the order. When she called back the same rude spanish woman came on the phone speaking in spanish. My wife said im sorry but I dont speak spanish. At this point i was standing next to my wife and i could hear her raising her voice at my wife. so I asked her to pass the phone because I speak spanish. I said hi id like to cancel the order please and she said ok but we wont deliver to your house anymore because this is the 3rd time you’ve called. I told her that for that price i wouldnt be c a lling anyways. Very rude, refuse to speak English and absolutely no customer service skills. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone anymore.

Today I ordered from this place go’s to the other argarves but I ordered from the wrong restaurant so I had to go around the corner to get my food is had an $100.00 bill i gave it to the young lady to pay the $19.79 or 95 got the change from her in seen all 4 $20 but never looked at it but I turned around and went inside to ordered chicken that $12.95 than I go’s to another store and the owner of the store said the bill was fake go back to the restaurant and let them know they gave you an fake $20.00 so I’m in newark nj on elizabeth avenue i had to go to elizabeth nj to north avenue and jackson avenue to get blamed for it when the little girl gave me my change had to call police at this restaurant i waited at the store for hour and half never gave me the $20.00 trust me this taught me an lesson but I wouldn’t be going back ever cause they given fake money the only thing I got was a cc number the police were great like why would I call the police and wait if I come back to this restaurant and told the little girl this bill isn’t real bad experiences never ever eating there again the owner lied on me and all the food was horrible I gave it to an homeless man than when the police questioned him he didn’t speak English but in the restaurant he was lmao I didn’t get it when he put the hundred dollars in his pocket instead of giving me my real hundred than he tell me not to worry about the little girl just worry about the police that’s coming i called the police to they came.

Went to this place to check out the food since I was recommended them. Really good place to get good Brazilian/Portuguese food. The steak was probably one of the best I’ve ever eaten outside but it was not cooked the way I asked, so I didn’t eat all of it but it was a nice portion and definitely worth the money. The dessert was fresh and nicely frozen – just a great way to eat lemon water ice

The food was okay, the seafood paella had seaweed looking bugs on a few pieces of scallops that was gross to look at. The pink sangria was very weak in-fact the color was orange. We asked for a red and pink sangria to go in a cup, we were given child size cups but charged $22 for both, again they were weak, whoever poured the drinks is a horrible bartender. The best part of the night was the waiter, he was professional the whole way.

I did not like the food at all. Ordered online, there was no option at buy bbq or hot sauce as a condiment. I made the request in the notes and they sent me two dime size / tiny container of 1 BBQ and 1 hot sauce for an entire platter of food. How can you be a BBQ restaurant and not sell these add ons? I was willing to pay for it… then the food arrived and the rice was more white rather than yellow. That turned me off immediately. I did try the chicken and ribs. It was okay. I ended up just having a sandwich from my house.

Food is good don’t get me wrong but just like the other Algarve this one short my rib count.. Now a 1/2 combo usually 1/2 chicken 2 to 3 beef ribs.. Depending on size.. I order a 1/2 pork which is (4 pork ribs) 1/2 beet which u usually get (2) beef ribs.. I ordered Sunday and they forgot my beef ribs I called they knew they forgot and honored me my 2.. Got there after calling to confirm which they did and they tell me it’s only 1 beef with 1/2 combo… I said lies.. Yall starting that ish like the other Algarve around the corner.. They say it’s always been like that I said ur lying I’ve been coming to u guys forever and this is new just say that.. But 2 weeks ago I got 2.. Long story short I’m done with them also.. I been going on Elmora aslo they give u 2 also on the 1/2 combo..
