I am disappointed. I ordered a small pizza and when I arrived I got this. I walked back in to make sure my order was correct and was told they don’t do small sizes. I wouldn’t be as upset if A. I had been told that on the phone when I ordered. B. If it had maybe been cut into two slices, the shape is hard to eat and might’ve been more manageable if it was in two pieces. But honestly if I order a pizza I don’t want what looks like just a corner of a large pizza. And C. If the pizza was good. The crust is chewy and limp, and the cheese is thick and rubbery. I got pepperoni and sausage for the toppings and genuinely could’ve believed they weren’t there, the cheese just overpowers everything. I have been to Alfonzo’s once before this and got a large and it was equally disappointing. The pizza is just soggy and bland overall.

As a frequent traveler i always look for rhe opportunity to try a local spot. This place is great. Joe was an awesome server and while i was waiting there was a little girl celebrating her birthday. He treated her and her family like she was a queen and made their dinner special. When i got my food the owner came out and we had a chance to talk. Super nice guy. Great food and cold beer. Highly recommend and will be back soon.

We came in to town for a short visit with family from Kansas City, and was definitely not expecting to eat one of the best pizzas we’d ever had.
After walking in to a local grill and bar and immediately turning around and walking out, we stumbled upon Alfonso’s.
The wings we ordered were cooked perfectly, the salad was good and fresh, and the pizza was absolutely delicious.
I think the best part of our meal though was our server. We didn’t get his name, but honestly after a long day on the road, he brightened our day. They are fortunate to have him there, and we are grateful to have experienced that level of hospitality that you just don’t find anymore. Professional, well spoken, fast, and smiling.
Go here. Eat this food, and tip the staff.
We will be stopping here every time we make this trip for sure.

Got recommended this place by my husbands boss. First, the lighting was terrible, kept watching the lights go dim every few minutes. Second the Fonzo Bites had an awful after taste that I still can’t get out of my mouth, tiny portion of boneless wings as an appetizer & the pizza itself also had a awful after taste. We ordered the Family Special which was a jumbo pizza with 2 sides for $46, we ended up paying $71 & some change for this not so great tasting meal, not to mention that the rest of the items on the menu are way overpriced! Cavataio’s in Staunton has true authentic Italian food for way cheaper & Joe’s Pizzaria in Troy has a Family Special that is only $38. We definitely will NOT ever be going back there at all. You live you learn & trust me we learned our lesson with this place. As someone who went to school for culinary arts I am extremely disappointed in the quality of the food for such a high price.

We had a large group of family all staying in the hotel for my nephew’s graduation party. This place was very good for getting a large amount of food to feed all the family members for not a crazy amount of money. They had pretty good pizza and salad. The Alfonzo bits were pretty good too. If you order that 18″ x 24″ pizza you need to order a hour early so they can have it done on time.

Great food. Pizza has a different soft crust on bottom . Was a pleasant change. Wings had a crunch to the skin and were very tasty. Salad was awesome. Kylee was our waitress and did a fabulous job.

We recently discovered Alfonzo’s while traveling cross country. WOW! What an A+ culinary experience from start to finish. Dry rub Italian chicken wings, thin crust pizza with anchovies, antipasto, & dessert were ALL outstanding. Why? The ingredients were of exceptionally high quality & the food seemed to just melt in your mouth. Beyond the actual food, the atmosphere of Alfonzo’s is so relaxed, homey, & friendly. It was easily apparent that most of the patrons were return customers, the wait staff love their jobs, and owner Mike Paolucci set a priority on making newbies like us feel welcomed, valued, and enjoying our time spent there. We will be back!!!
