Alfano’s is by far my favorite place to grab a pizza or anything Italian food. There’s just something about the taste you get at Alfano’s that you won’t find anywhere else! I’ve been coming to Alfano’s over 35 plus years and I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. If you haven’t tried Alfano’s then do yourself a favor and try it . If you have well…if you know you know!

We asked a Oregon resident a good place to eat. He recommended this place. It was busy but they were very nice. Huge serving. I ordered pizza. The pizza came to the table and didn’t look like anything special. I had a bite and I was hooked. It was so good, I loved it. I took leftovers home and I don’t even live near Oregon. The food is great, I’ve ordered take out from here many times, I typically only order pasta or pizza.
Out of all the surrounding areas I’d say this place has the best meatballs.
They’re pizza is also much better than any of the local places in Mt.Morris or Oregon.
The only reason I don’t rate 5 stars is…
I know this is a silly reason…
When I order take out pasta/spaghetti they’re is less than minimal sauce, which is a shame because it’s actually pretty decent sauce.
But I don’t fancy eating/paying for half a container of plain wet noodles, it’s just really disappointing, I’d rather have more sauce at the expense of less noodles.

A rare 5 star. The service is amazing, but more so is the food. An unexpected gem in the middle of nomansland, Oregon Illinois. Now… for a quick drive out, this hidden gem is in the heart of downtown Oregon, right on Highway 2. Set off on its own, I never would have come but my kid has been here before. The prices haven’t been hit by the current economy. Portions are fresh and huge. Be prepared for leftovers unless you are a big eater. The servers are friendly and really attentive. The food fresh, delicious, and prepared to perfection. Seriously I’m a bit stunned and grateful for this find. Oh, and the Chianti… smooth. Again a shock.

I ordered a crispy chicken salad, order of Bosco sticks and 2 cans of soda for delivery. My bill was 26 dollars. I asked for ranch dressing to go with my salad and asked for extra ranch. When I recieved my food they gave me 2 blue cheese and no ranch. I dont eat blue cheese dressing. When I called and explained of their error. The only compensation they offered to make it right was offering me a dollar credit for the ranch dressing I never recieved. It was a waste and I wasnt able to eat the almost 15 dollar salad I purchased because I dont like blue cheese.

Alfano’s, a wonderful family owned restaurant and a staple to the Oregon community. The staff is always super friendly and the pizza is fantastic. The only real issue that I have, would be the wings.. Start serving those Father & Son type wings and boom, 5 stars for sure!

I went here for a late dinner. It wasn’t crowded. The pizza was excellent.
The crust was cooked just right. There were just the right amount of toppings.
The sausage had amazing flavor. I also enjoyed the sauce, it had just the right amount of sweetness.
Forgive me I didn’t get her name, but she was running the dining room like a champ.
The dining room was that home town feel in a good way. Everything was clean and in good condition. They take care of the restaurant.
I will continue to go here when I’m in the area.
Bicycling: The roads near here would be fine for riding. I didn’t notice any area to lock the bicycles up. Also, it would have been nice if they had outdoor seating.

Best pizza around and will always be legendary as I’ve ate it since I was a child in Geneva since 78 when I was born. My mom went into labor in 78 was eating Alfanos deep dish. She thought she had indigestion from the pizza. But it was just me wanting out. I really just wanted to get out and eat that pizza myself instead of having my mom feed me. Pete has got the best pizza around. I’ll be back from Arizona for first time to Chicago area in 8 yrs soon. First place I’m going is to see Chief Blackhawk then stop by for an Alfanos pizza. #1 then on to paddle wheel to stay and black hawk steak pit on that Sunday. But few more par baked pizzas to hit the road to go for frozen pizza back down in scottsdale Arizona.

Alfanos is a great Italian restaurant in Oregon. The bread and the appetizers are great. The pasta portions are huge and the pizza is a thin crisp crust. Whenever we are in town we usually stop at Alfanos for something to eat.
