Always drove past this place wanting to give it a shot. Ended up going here for dinner with family. Pizza was underbaked. Needed to be baked for another 5 to 10 minutes. The pizza didn’t have much flavor to it either. Sausage was eh. I mean nothing special. Nothing stood out. We also ordered the cheese bread things and again nothing special. Something anyone could throw together. Unfortunately no one was satisfied with their food here. I will say that the service was good though. We will not be coming back and I would not recommend eating here.

I started enjoying Alex’s pizza almost 40 years ago. And the Pizza is just as delicious as it was back then…
I was back in the area last Saturday and just had to stop at Alex’s Pizza. And it was Wonderful like always!! I talked to the gentleman who brought me my pizza and told him how I used to go to menominee to get it when I was in high school. And I mentioned it was nice scene, a Domino’s. In there, the old space, because at least they’re selling pizzas again. He told me it was nice to have a customer.Come in and mention the business in menominee. But he said, I was one of the few people that remembered exactly where the space was because I knew there was a domino’s there. He’s that most people get confused on which spot I said. Not me.It was an awesome time in my life.And that pizza just goes with it.

The lady who answered the phone was very nice. We got a medium veggie deluxe pizza and some cheese bread which took about 40 minutes on a Saturday night. The cheese bread was very good but the Veggie pizza was basically just a sea of olives. Was still good though.

Good sausage and sauce! Pizza could have been thicker and service more prompt, but we enjoyed ourselves. We all felt our requested mushrooms on the Bomber were an awesome addition.

We’ve driven past Alex’s for years on our way home and haven’t been able to stop in. THIS WEDNESDAY WAS THE DAY! And, we were truly rewarded with an awesome pizza experience! We have had east coast, west coast, Little Italy, and many other local shops around the country. Alex’s rates with the best! We had their version of the Supreme and, IT WAS! A well balanced combination of savory toppings on their thin crust. The fully 16″ pie fed 5 adults with one piece for later. Loved it! Thanks Alex’s Pizza!

Really good pizza but call ahead for take out if you’re in a hurry because everything is made fresh and it takes a while to get your food. I never bother taking leftovers home because I find their pizza does not reheat well. Great place for a kids birthday party though.

WE WENT TO THIS PLACE ON MONDAY MAY 20TH. KIDS WERE HUNGRY AND WE ORDERED THE BREAD PLATE AND THAT WAS GOOD. WE ORDED THE VEGGIE PIZZA, CRUST WAS DOUGHY AND NOT MUCH FLAVOUR TO THE PIZZA. PLACE WAS SHABBY LOOKING. PLATE THAT THE PIZZA WAS SERVED ON WAS DIRTY AND BAKED ON GREASE. EDGE OF PLATE WAS GUNGY AND ALL THE SURFACE WAS FLAKING OFF. WON’T BE BACK.

I find my new phone app has asked me why I hate Alex’s, another of our Durand, Wisconsin’s outstanding and carefully targeted eating places. But I don’t hate Alex’s at all. In fact, I, Sunday Joe McAllister (America’s Storyteller in Song and Word), like Alex’s very much indeed.
This excellent family restaurant caters especially to the “Families With Children Under the Age of 18” crowd. The many school and high school sports team memorabilia that provide the attractive ambiance at Alex’s are a testimonial to the place this Durand business holds in the minds and hearts of those in our Chippewa River Cultural Revival region. Memories are being made here that will last a lifetime.
The two high school girls who took my take out order for a pizza and Dr. Pepper were most pleasant and helpful. I give high Mark’s to Alex’s owners for hiring Durand’s young people and giving them practical and valuable work experience. Also, high Mark’s are in order for the tiny toy’s play corner with TV near the Main Street seating area–a huge plus for families with toddlers.
In particular, I appreciate the eagle themed pictures throughout. They not only affirm our Chippewa River Cultural Revival region’s wildlife, but also encourage parents, coaches, teachers, pastors and youth leaders charged with raising Durand’s own young eagles to take courage and to look up in anticipation for what they will become.
My pizza was topped in a unique way with slices of Wisconsin’s fine cheese and sliced in mid-sized pieces fit to feed a family or party of wee ones. I highly recommend Alex’s to both locals and visitors alike.
One added service offered is the Tuesday 10AM to 2PM tailoring service for replacing popped off buttons to altering entire garments–a service I intend to make good use of in the future.

The staff was nice for our takeout order and the pizza was great! I was impressed to see them making their own dough.
