Just moved to Chesterfield. Tried Alexander’s, and let me tell you. I had the breakfast special and my wife tried the corned beef hash, which is freshly made and not canned. I even added a Chicago hotdog just to try. Amazing taste, all around. I will definitely go back. Go check them out and you will not be disappointed. Great food and great service.

Alexander’s:
I have been here a few times since ownership has changed with my brother for breakfast. We receive good service and good food at a descent price. So I thought it was time to update my review.

NEY YORK DELI: The clam chowder is not edible as I can see and taste the flour they used to thicken it . It should also not taste like chicken soup. Thank goodness they didn’t have to thicken the cabbage soup. I also liked the flavor of the cabbage soup. Unfortunately the clam chowder was for a sick child.
Update my child’s father returned with more soup and food from here the next day and it was much better. Chicken lemon rice and fried mushrooms. So maybe they just shouldn’t try clam chowder.)

Excellent home cooked meals & friendly service. Prices are very reasonable. No one is a stranger here. The new pizza offering is excellent & makes it a great place for groups to gather.

Alexander’s is a great little neighborhood diner. They offer a wide range of food options, especially on their breakfast menu. I fully recommend stopping in for a bite! (Food pictured is their “Fruity Cakes”)

This place is tucked away from the traffic of 23 mile road. Alexander’s is clean with an open spacious layout easily able to accommodate large parties walking in. BIG positive was they had signs inside, outside, and on table displaying specials. Bonus points for having condiments on the table so I don’t have to ask for them like many places these days.
I like to review mom and pop places whenever possible. I went with my co-workers after reading a couple of 1⭐ reviews saying it was expensive. They said it wasn’t true. When I saw the blue hairs walking in and out I knew there was value to be had. I am cheap so don’t go out to eat much. I planned to get the omelette to compare to the bad reviews but I had a hankering for veal dinner ($10) for lunch. The veal was absolutely delicious along with tasty garlic toast. The accompanying spaghetti and lemon rice soup with the meal were good. I had 2 cups of coffee and was offered a 3rd I declined. Service was prompt for a lunch hour.
This tight wad will return on some paydays and those 1⭐ clowns clearly got their head dented as babies.

It was a Sunday and we got beef barley soup, which was quite good. The place was packed, which was a good sign that the food is good. There wasn’t an empty spot in the restaurant.
We only got the soup, so I can’t say much about the overall experience. We were in and out. I will go back to get the soup.

Absolutely not impressed..
Waiter messed up our drinks twice, messed up our soup, chicken lemon rice had no chicken or lemon, mashed potatoes were sour, requested a replacement of French fries and got brought hash browns that were also sour, chicken alfredo was bland and tasteless, and the gravy had no flavor. Would not recommend.. $45.00 worth of garbage.
